Recently because my ballast was fixed by them. I went there to have it checked. Then they found that the ballast was not at fault. So they changed my HID bulb. The next day my bulb got blown, do not know the reason why. Before that the ballast that I change also blow off my earlier bulb. Not sure what have they done.

1. The aunty in the workshop is very very rude.

I totally agreed with what other customer remarks regarding this workshop!

This workshop should be strike off AA list!

I myself had bad experiences with them.

Voted the worst workshop!!

Bad attitude!

Please avoid this workshop at all cost! If not you will regret it!

Trust me!!

It so happened that a AA tow truck guy recommended that Teng Meng is able to service continental cars. My car was tow there for a fuel injector issue. It's not a huge job, just changed 4 fuel injectors. But not only did they not do a good job but put back screws and parts wrongly with washers at completely wrong places and wrong angles and hence causing huge problems to the engine. I only found out after the car was sent to another workshop for a second opinion. After information Albert Teng, he refused to come to the workshop to see for himself and to verify and made me waited and waited for him. I went to Teng Meng again and got yelled at by his wife and she even chased me out of her shop when I told her to about the issue. After haggling with Albert Teng and his horrid wife. They insist on rectifying the issues for me but come on, are they serious? Having done a crazy bad job, expecting the customer to trust them again? I had spent tonnes of money now to rectify the issue. My car is working fine now after we brought it to another workshop. They are using "Tools" And knowledge that are totally outdated and I am surprised that this kind of workshop can be on AA's authorized list. They should be removed from AA's list to prevent other cars from being damaged by their arrogance and incompetency.
The bottom line is I would have given a 0/5 rating if the system allowed it. Please do not ever ever bring your car there and please tell all your friends and family.

Totally agreed with all the comments about this motor shop!
Had bad experiences with them too for years till I got enough of his bad attitude and lack of knowledge..
Bad attitude !!! And also their charges very very high!! Everything almost double!!
MENG just change everything as if it is free!!
Everything come from him is just guessing!!
In the end we paid for his lack of knowledge..
Worst still I can't question him regarding the repair.
His wife is the worst!!
Please please avoid this motor shop for your own good!!
Anyone, had bad experiences with this shop! Go to CASE!
They are like crooks!!
Their motor shop was voted the worst shop in the building
Apparently , he is one of the council members for the building.
Feedback from the rest is that he is well known to overcharge his customer!!
Ask around before you step into this shop!!

Terrible.. Just terrible.

Like what some had said, they have attitude problems.

To make the long story short, I changed my AFT with them and the next day, error code "Gearbox fault" Surfaced.

Definitely will not be going back there.

My car broke dow. I got to ask AA to tow my car to a workshop. Because it was a Sunday, the dealer workshop was closed. The tow driver kept recommend this workshop to me and kept telling me how good their technical and service was. I decided to give it a try.

To my much disappointment, I have a very bad and negative experience with this workshop. Before handover the car to the workshop, the boss told me my car can be collected next day around 1pm and they will give me a call before that. But I didn't hear from them the next day and when I called them about 3pm, I was told that the issue was resolved but my car lack of power and they are still doing testing and rectifying the problem. The workshop called me around 6pm and told me my car can be collected.

When I picked up and tested my car, I felt that my car power is no longer like before. The start of the car is very sluggish and required longer time to start up the engine. When I asked them what was the issue, they can't even tell me the real problem and how they fixed it. They just brushed me off. The before and after service attitude was totally difference. Before service, they can be very nice and polite. But after service, they are rude and arrogant and knowing that the problem was not fixed fully, so being rude and arrogant to me I may be fearful to them and not to pursue further.

Looking at the reviewer that rated for this workshop, most of the reviewer gave a very negative remark to this workshop in year 2015. I feel that their service has deteriorated over the years. Just wondering how AA clarify a workshop to be under their recommended list? With this kind of service and attitude, I feel that this workshop should remove from AA authorised workshop list.

To those who want to send the car for service, you can give this workshop a miss and don't even need to consider them. Even with a slight cheaper service charge but if the service, expertise, quality and workmanship are not up to mark, you may end up spending more time and money for multiple visit which I think is not worth it.

About a month ago, I had a cracked radiator which rendered necessary to be immediately looked at. Brought my car to Teng Meng Motor Services at the recommendation of a friend. I was advised that the whole radiator needed to be changed and I went ahead with the repair. The radiator replacement was done within 4 hours.

My nightmare began 2 weeks after replacing the radiator as I noticed oil leakage at my undercarriage. At this point in time I had also noticed an increased fuel consumption with the car. A further check with a mechanic revealed that the ATF line which also runs to the new radiator was not terminated properly and hence leaking Auto Trans Fluid. I was then advised to bring it back to Teng Meng as they were the ones who did the repair and might be able to solve it without incurring further costs.

Upon bringing my car back to Teng Meng, I was then greeted by the rude attitude of the elderly lady who attended to me. (She had a totally different attitude the first time I went there for the repair).
Upon explaining what the problem was, she passed it if that it might not be caused by her mechanic as it has been 2 weeks, and hurriedly asked her mechanic to tighten the joint along the line. Needless to say, this did not solve the problem.

I brought the car back to Teng Meng Auto again the following day and the attitude was no better. This time round, I felt as though I had brought my car to a plumber as the solution they provided was to use "White tape" (those that plumbers use) around the leaking joints. This only temporarily slowed down the leak but was not a solution as the leak continued with the intense heat.

I gave up returning after a couple of time, as the expertise, attitude, and business principles of this company is just falling short, and not able to give me a solution for the problem which was created. I just do not want to waste my precious time with them any further.

I am surprised by the fact that they can still remain as an AA Approved workshop.... And hope this review serves to allow drivers decide if such paid services are needed.

So far I have been referred to this workshop by 2 used car dealers. At the workshop they don't seem to spend too much time with you. What the problem is get it done. Not much advice. There's an aunty there who has been rude towards me during my 1st visit and recently my second. During my 1st visit in a sarcastic manner she said "FREE repair right?" You can go! Uncle seem to be OK. But very busy. Mechanic assigned to solve my problem cannot speak English and was also not courteous. I don't mind paying but not visit a workshop where you don't get a decent treatment. Those who buy car from these used car dealers may also have a second thought going back to them!

Recommended initially by the AA after my car broke down. Decided to give them a try. Negative customer experience. Dodgy technical know-how ignoring the obvious. Save yourself the pain and aggravation. Go elsewhere.

My 9 years old Toyota wish suddenly jerk whenever they gearbox shifted gear. I sent my car to few workshop at UBI area including so-call specialist for gearbox transmission specialist. All of them told me I have only two choice :

1. Replace gearbox
2. Overhaul

Quotes for above ranged from $2000 To $4000

My friend recommended Teng Meng Motor Sercices to me.
When I brought my car to th me workshop, Albert attended to me personally. After i explained the problem I faced on my car, he assigned his son to assist me. The young man used a computerize device to diagnose my car. Within minute, the tool nail down some issue on the car gearbox. However he told me that he only need to replace a small part (something call vau). The replair work will take approximately 1 day depending how fast his supplier can ship the part to them. This young man also walk me through the damaged parts and explained to me how it affect my ride. The repair cost $800 and I got my car the next day. Thumb up for the great work and excellent service !!!

Excellent quality and customer service is the direct feedback I have for Teng Meng. Sent my damaged front bumper for repair and spray painting. Job done in less than a day. But excellent results given. Value for money too. Highly recommend to all.
