The only 5-star workshop who answered my call at 7.30am for my super-overheated engine issue last night.

Went in at 9am prior to the official opening hours, the workshop is manned already.

The mech takes care of the car immediately.

And the radiator change was done quickly - earlier than I need it to be :)

So, all in all, perfect.

Thank you, Gio. And who is the mechanic in purple? Didn't have a chance to ask for his name. Double thumbs up!

Known Zach few years back through a car club. Never did i let any other Workshop service my car. Some or most of my spare parts were changed by them.

Need not for me to write a compo here.
So long story short, IMO, they're the best!

Did my car servicing (major) last Sat (Mar 21), and a change of shocks today (Mar 28).
Zach and his team were a delight to work with. They are patient, responsive and possess the sufficient experience and expertise to trouble-shoot and solve a suspension issue that bothered me for some time.
The servicing package and repair/replacement charge were also reasonable and competitive. In fact, Zach and team were honest enough to knock off couple of items that were not necessary to change, and even threw in a complimentary pair of wipers! When replacing my shocks, he even advised it was unnecessary to replace the rear ones. And Zach was always available to answer whatever qns I had, no matter how many. Wow..
Not easy to find such reliable, responsive and reasonable service these days, especially in this industry. Definitely highly recommended!

Pre-arranged with Gio 1 week before the Service date.
Did the following:
Timing belt change (Primary)
Drive Shaft (recon) change due to leaking (Misc)
Engine oil change (Misc)
Air filter cleaning (Primary)
3rd brake light (last min request) (Misc)
Spark plug change (Primary)

I am proud to say that I never regretted sending my car the entire Saturday under Gio & team care.
As usual, he informed me in advance ( & even whatsapp) the leaking drive shaft & advice me which is the best suitable option for my Car.

When I reached Rapid Auto W/S to collect my car, the lead mechanic who did the changes/servicing of my car left the old parts on the floor so as to prove that the parts have been replaced.

Upon collection (coming 7pm), I recalled that my 3rd brake light was faulty & told him about it. Without hesitation, he went to my car and did a thorough check & went straight down to find out where the root cause was. To my great astonishment, the problem was solved within less than 1/2 hour.

He not only did not show any signs of frustration as my request was very last minute but instead he patiently did the all the necessary tests in front me.

This is ONE or THE workshop where I feel absolutely safe to leave my car to be serviced.

Honda GD1.

Initially just needed a workshop to help do cosmetic repair after a taillight was damaged by a motorbike.

Decided to leave the car for major servicing after 170K on the road. Also wanted the workshop to give the car a checkup for the usual wear and tear issues.

Mechanics was thorough in checks and the entire suspension system was changed out. The team also pointed out areas to look out for and recommend to rectify in future. Didn't insist that I have to do it with them. The great thing is how they can identify problems AND solve them, which even another workshop I was familiar with in the past, simply gave up.

After servicing and driving out of the workshop back home, the car feels like new. Will be going back for other minor repairs based on their diagnosis of the car.

Honest and reliable, they worked overtime just to complete the car. Great service. Please be patient because they do things very carefully so if you are in a hurry, go get a drink downstairs. Let them finish whatever they need to do; you can thank them later.

Once I sent my Honda Odyssey for major servicing, Sky n his team stayed till late in the evening to deal with my car, at no extra charge because he understood I am busy the next day. Even gave discounts without me asking. Such kind folks.
Very approachable bunch of mechanics he has n all are friendly.
Appreciate their help and their patience whenever I make phone calls to enquire on any vehicle related matters.
This WS has my full support anytime.
Thumbs up Zach and Sky n Marco Siong and all from Rapid Auto.
You guys always in my favorites list.

Engine servicing and others - GS300 (8 yrs old-170K Km)  Posted on 04-Aug-2014

Initially plan to do engine oil servicing and check brake noise, end up with the following after recommendations from PIC.

Have the below services done last week. Total damage about 2.5K.
1) Change 4 x Absorbers (old absorbers oil leaked)
2) Change 2 x upper and lower arms (show crack lines and advise to change for safety reasons)
3) Change engine oil
4) Service brake system

There is one mounting that connects lower arms to car structure also shows sign of cracks and due to no stocks, never change and use back. Was told this part not critical and safety sounds like not an issue since stocks is not available. If they are interconnected, why not critical??? Anyway, giving them the benefits of doubts.

After picking up the car, was told by PIC that wheel alignment is not necessary. When ask the mechanic to do Tyres balancing (which he has forgotten), he advised better to do it. Need to do it outside at own costs as no alignment equipment is available. Drove off and indeed car pulled to the left immediately after letting go the steering wheel.

Went to a workshop with alignment machine and was asked why mounting cracks also never change (why need to do 2 times job and change it next time - waste labors and $$$). He cannot believe whole Singapore spare part shops do not have stocks. He sounds right, feel like cheated.

End up spent few hundreds dollars more to tie up all the loose ends which should be included in the above service jobs and costs.

Did the following to my car:

1. Change ATT Oil
2. Change V Belt
3. Engine Mount
4. Drive Shaft
5. Absorber 2 front 2 rear
6. Water Pump, Thermostat. Coolant Flush
7. 2 Linkages
8. Anti-Roll bar bush change
9. Valve cover gasket change
9. Lower arm change
10. 4 Michelin tires
11. Top and Bottom Hose
12. Motorvac Treatment.

Given the mileage of my family car (207000), any workshop could have knocked me gao gao to servicing and repairing this car. But the staff there (Sky) patiently went through with me what needs to be changed, showing me each part's damage and explain about the things to note.

Although my car was in very bad shape (not been servicing for more than a year), Sky understood the constraints in my budget and ensured to keep the costs to the minimum, all the while very professional and friendly.

The mechanics were very efficient and hardworking as well, as I needed to collect the car by the end of the day and cannot leave overnight due to work the next day which rely heavily on the vehicle, the workshop worked overtime (they officially closes at 7 was there until 8+) without any complains, felt quite bad about this tho :/ This workshop really goes all out to perfect your car.

At the end when everything is done, Sky personally went one round to ensure everything was okay before handing the car over to me. I would honestly say its as if I'm driving a new car now. The engine is very very smooth after the motorvac treatment and acceleration is a breeze. Previous problems were all gone with the repairs and replacement of my parts.

Price wise, there would be no better places which are this value for money. Not convenient to mention price here, so can PM me if you really interested to find out how much, still got the receipt.

Based on their dedication to making the car back to shape within such a short period of time, I'm sticking with them for a very very long time, even when its my turn to own a car.

This workshop is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

p.s A very big thank you to Sky, Marco, the Uncle and the other Mechanic who operated on my car. Really appreciate it and sorry for making you all work late! Oh and for the engine flush and carbon clean for the petrol tank, will be back for more!

My 1st time to the shop and what I have experienced was superbly beyond any words that I can figured out to describe.

Definitely one of the best workshops I have come across in my 15 yrs of driving. Able to rectify both the faults on my Mazda within a day (previous shop I visited couldn't do that) and will ensure the faults are cleared before handing car back to me. Unlike most shops which would do trial and error method to try to clear any faults by just replacing components, Zach ensures everything is checked and 100% sure before replacing them...
Also great credits to Zach for the frequent updates on how your car is doing, what they may be changing and explaining why they are changing any parts... thia is what I call Great Service! And also not forgetting the after service call where he checked with me on how is my car now. Definitely will have a peace of mind letting them handle your car.
Didn't have a chance to say a big thanks to u for doing a great job.

Once again, I have to thank all the staffs at Rapid for the tormented 2 weeks which my car had gave us. Close attention from Zach, Sky, Ah Siong, Marco, Ah Qiang and Ah Xiang are truly appreciated.

Was looking for a workshop to service my SSS sometime last year Aug 2013. Contacted Zach through Facebook and got an accurate and reasonable quotation. Didn't make an appointment and dropped by at 6pm after work.

Mechanic was friendly and took about 1hr to complete oil change, ATF, spark plugs and coolant flush. Highly recommended and satisfied with the efficient and thorough service. No frills or gimmicks. Honest workshop with good after sales and follow up support from Zach.

Had a wonderful experience when doing servicing, Zach is very nice guy, his brother always smiling and all the mechanics very hardworking and knowledgeable.... My car was service by an uncle who have more than 20 yrs experience in car servicing, very knowledgeable, wont get angry if you asked too many questions, he will answer in a very polite way and always smiling.... The way he do his job very steady and not in a rushing pace, very focus while doing his job... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Thanks Zach, his brother and the mechanics for doing such a wondeful job, im happy with the service... Next items in mind will be the coilover, hehehehe...

** if i knew you have PS3 in your restroom, i would have came in to play the games... Hahaha

I was driving halfway when my car overheated and straight drove over to rapid auto at 7+ in the evening. Told the boss Zach that my kia can smell some chow ta smell and he and his mechanic straight help me check. I thus told him that i leave my car with him for the night n collect the next day as i would need the car urgenly to ferry my pregnant wife to and fro. I also told the boss to change anything that is faulty. I don mind paying so long that the car is in gd condition. I told him to change my brake pads, air con filter and also my air filter.

Next day the boss whatsapp me and told me car done liao. Can go down collect. He changed my radiator pipe and told me cheap cheap only. I asked him about my other stuff that is my brake pads, air con filter and air filter. Boss took the effort and showed me and explained to me that they were in gd condition to the extend of showing me their condition.

Very honest boss and gd mechanics. Highly recommend

Prior to having my car serviced, I enquired if they would reset my system after servicing and the answer was “yes”.

I also asked them to quote me for brake pads using original parts.

However, after the servicing, they were unable to reset my computer system using some software installed on a laptop.

We notified Zach who promised to call back on Monday but never did. Probably he is simply not interested.

Now I will need to go to another properly equipped workshop and pay to remove the servicing overdue message.

For brothers and sister who require computer diagnostic/reset to be carried out then Rapid Auto is definitely NOT RECOMMENDED.

Hi David,I have not call u on Monday because I was looking for a solution. Merc S class like yours can only do the reset on service one(1) time only after the milleage have exceeded 10,500 kms and yours was at 12,000 and we did the reset but it was interrupted half way of the setting so it cannot be done anymore and need the original merc computer to do that. Even our top range autoland ISCAN II WT cannot do that. It doesn't apply to all continentals. The one that my mech using with the laptop is the Ross Tech which is a dianogse tools for Audi&volkswagen,posche,skoda. As for the quote for the brake pads and rotor,I must make sure that I can solve the service light problem before I quote u a new thing so that it goes in sequence. As for pricing, I think to get ur S class service at merely $168 using LiquiMoly oil will the the most reasonable price ever. Hope you can understand the technical fault and the misunderstanding occurred.
