Fun to drive `
I've been driving the 1.6l for almost 2 years now. No problem so far, the car is quite reliable and enjoyable. It can handle high speed curves and really stick to the road. You get good performance in second/third gear if you push the engine. However, it takes time for the car to move at traffic lights even if you kick down the pedal. Looks like the engine/gears are meant for high revs only and really not good at low revs. The interior quality is impressive for a car of this price. Nothing is flimsy and it still looks new even after 2 years of me not being too careful. There should be more storage space though, the glove compartment is just way too small and there is no other closed compartment for you to store CDs, sunglasses, etc. The equipment is practical (automatic lights and rain detector) but not much other luxury (no CD changer). The front seats are really comfortable. That said, if you are a bit tall like me (1.8m), then there is basically no legroom for the passenger behind you. Overall great car that I would recommend.

Review of 207 1.4 Vive `
I test drove the 207 1.4-litre model. It has a clutchless-manual gearbox, with 5 speeds. So u just gotta drive like a manual car (i.e. leave the foot off the accelerator pedal slightly when changing gears) and it will not lurch forward so much. I love the exterior styling. The front looks big and fierce and the rear is utterly sexy! The interior is really high quality, lots of soft-touch plastic. Everything feels really well-made. Equipment wise it's only average. Dual-zone air-con, cooler glove box and audio controls on steering wheel are some of the extras. The highlight of the car is the way it drives. The engine revs really quickly and sweetly. It reminds me of the drive in the 107. Puts a grin on the driver's face. The paddles behind the steering wheel makes changing gears real fun, and because it does not have a torque converter, you get nice power delivery from the car. It doesn't suffer from the lack of urgency plagued in many european automatics (bar the Volkswagen Golf equipped with DSG). Interior is cramped though. With my 1.73m frame, my rear-seat passenger had no leg-room to speak of. But it's more spacious than the 206 it replaces.

GTI model sporty and quick but rather crammed. `
A good car for sporty handling and driving unfortunately let down by expensive price and being crammed.
