First diesel car owned. Excellent as a highway cruiser due to comfort-oriented suspension setup and virtually no wind noise and only a slight bit of road noise, which is to be expected. It's as quiet as an E-Class, if not quieter.
Car was purchased with the intention of travelling long distances everyday (~100km/day) and so far, for the past 2000km, fuel economy has been excellent, averaging 17km/l for urban driving and actually managing to achieve the claimed 25km/l for highway journeys, which isn't bad considering this car weighs around 1700+kg with fuel and driver included. Just don't expect it to be fast (it's quite slow), go for the T5 if that's what you want. Even if you're heavy with your right foot, the much cheaper Diesel means that refuelling won't cost you more than $80 or so even with a full tank of 70L (after discounts).
The digital speedometer also looks gorgeous and the touchscreen infotainment system runs on Android (albeit on Gingerbread) which can be easily modified (rooted) and customized to your liking. Do note that the touchscreen system is an optional extra (which I got for free). However, dp not consider paying for it if you're not going to tinker with the Android file system as the stock GPS Navigation app has maps that are at least 2 years out of date.
Car comes with City Braking, but sadly no reverse camera or Adaptive Cruise Control can be fitted. I really wanted adaptive cruise control for my long daily commutes. Car interior colour theme is also only limited to Black with metallic trim.
