My first continental (German) ride albeit a pre-owned one. Mine is a 8.5yrs old car but doesn't look aged at all to my disbelief initially. Quality of every part material used and built is exceptionally good. Now comes the best part. It's so easy to drive/handle/park! Even my wife said so , she being a novice infrequent driver. It's basically a well engineered luxury saloon car with every single driving aspect well thought out. German automotive engineering at its best. Now I know why $2 billion was spent in developing this model. Having driven it for past 2 months now, I have to say this is probably one of the better car to get (pre-owned)

What I like
1)Loads of convenience and the luxury touch even being an old model.(2, coming 3 generation before)
2)Easier to handle(drive/park) compared to my previous Japanese car
3)V6 engine is rock solid and silent (+ outstanding sound proofing)
4)Feel extremely stable / safe at high speed in NSHW
5) general maintenance cost is said to be comparably lower than a similar class of BMW, Audi or Volvo

What I do not like
1) Fuel consumption is on high side compare to cars of modern times
2) Reliability of 7G Tronic transmission. It's always prone to problems.
3) New generation E class arriving soon to our shore. Makes this model seems older than it shld be.

Been driving the E250 Edition E for a month now and it has been a pleasure driving the car. While initially deciding between waiting for a new model or to take this model, the Edition E has, imo, a muscular attractive styling kit that makes it looks sporty and elegant at the same time. Love the lights, very bright and the features such as the roll up blinds, sunroof and the 360 camera. There is also blind spot assist that works very well with your side blind spots but lane departure is a little more intrusive and not so intelligent and the steering wheel buzzes can be a little irritating for me sometimes. The car has great interior space, sits 5 easily and comes with a large boot that can take up my golf bag without a squeeze that in my old C class, had to take out my driver or squeeze it into my boot. Drive has been comfortable, great power and torque and you can find yourself enjoying long straight drives in the car. 0-100 is fast enough and i do not even need to cross 2k rpm to move this car up to 80-90 on the expressway. Bends have slight body roll but still corners well and steering is rather sharp with the car reacting to small inputs but feedback will be slightly less so. Great thing is you can drive it as a comfortable cruiser when with your clients or family or as a pseudo fast sports car.

What I like
- great power
- efficiency has been good for the size of vehicle at about 10km/l in my first month
- nice looks and body kit
- useful features such as 360 cam and the blind spot assist
- nice app styled infotainment system in line with the newer C class
- elegant classy interior

What I do not like
- slight numb feedback from steering
- 7g gearbox can be a tad slow in shifting sometimes
- vibrations during idling can be felt sometimes in the cabin
- slightly slower comand system in reacting to inputs sometimes such as changin music stations

I used to drive a 2010 W212 E250 for almost 4 years. The car has no problem even after i clocked 75k km. Around 1 year ago, i changed to the facelifted W212 E250 with 7G transmission. The car's comfort is better and exterior styling is also better. The only problem that has bugged me is the 7G transmission. Less than 20K KM, my 7G gearbox started to give me problem. The car was in the workshop for around 10 days for repairs but thank god, its under warranty. After a few trips and lots of work done for the transmission, its alright now but there's still a bit of jerk . Checked with my other friends who drives the same car and most told me they face the same problem.

What I like
Comfort, interior and exterior styling

What I do not like
jerky 7G transmission
