A great omen `

Bought a second hand 2010 car last year and have been driving it since. Was looking at a few cars such at the teana, sonata and epica but chose this becoz mainly of its cost (cheaper than the teana) and japanese make (Sonata and epica are korean). Love the build quality, excellent handling and drive. Rather silent cabin which filters the right noises in. An under-stated car that will surprise alot of people... especially the brand whores... =D

Surprising Suzuki `

I just bought a used Kizashi with very low mileage on the clock. I traded in a poorly built rattly continental car that was driving me insane. What a difference! The Kizashi is built solid. No rattles even though it's a used car. It's very quiet except the initial low speed acceleration when the CVT drone is present. Thankfully, the CVT feels good with no rubber band feeling as the car is torquey. It handles well too and highway drives are relaxed affairs. It's spacious and comfortable even thought the ride is slightly firm (not helped by the bling bling 18" wheels). Seems to do 9+km/L for my mostly urban driving. This car is seriously good but is so unknown, what a pity.

The best Suzuki yet barring none `

Taken some time at lunch to test drive this new Kizashi. I have been googling this car and doing homework before going to the showroom and initially I thought this car wasn't that good looking (guess I was just sad they didn't make the production model closer to the concept one)... But over time this model's looks grew on me. What I think of it now is that it has good overall proportions albeit the high butt (boot). Nonetheless here's what I felt of this car after my test drive: Comfort is 5/5 coz the seats are really good especially the lumbar setting and the hugging front seats. It is also really quiet in the cabin and most material is soft plastic except the top dash area and the centre area where the cupholder is. This is unfortunate since everything else felt premium. There is also rear aircon vents which I like to have in my next car. Reliability is 4/5 coz I drive a Suzie currently and it never gave me any major headaches so I believe this expectation should remain. Handling is 4/5 coz I like the way the car drives. It is very planted and feels solid but agile enough to take winding roads and turns and the steering felt good too although I didn't think it was that heavy. Exterior style is 4/5 coz I reserve the 5/5 for the sport model. Interior style is 5/5 coz it is a Suzuki and it comes with so many nice feature and classy bits like the white lightings on the speedo/ tachometer and the red lightings on the HU and console. The roof lining is also woven and everything fitted nicely and I didn't notice any rattling during the drive. Loads of storage and the glove compartment is lined with velvety material too. ISOfix for rear seats and the nice design touch to flush and conceal the rear seat belt buckles. Features is again 5/5 coz it comes with almost everything a daily driver needs well a bluetooth car kit will be nice but I seldom take calls when driving and I have my GPS already. Value for money can only be 4/5 coz it's a tad too expensive for this marque but if I have approval from missus i'll buy in a heartbeat. Engine performance is 4/5 coz for me the power upgrade from my current ride is enough to get me excited. Furthermore playing with the "gears" I can feel the power at lower gears even if CVT.

Impression. `

Test drove Kizashi today at Champion Motor West coast park with Alicia Tan. First impression of the car. Exterior: Nice out look. look pretty muscular and it come with a 18" multi-spokes sport rims with Yokohama Aspec DB. Tail with the double muffler being well hidden. Very pretty projected headlights with built in HID. Great boot space to carry at least two large luggage. Interior: Opening of the doors gave me an impression of a continental car. Comfortable seats, great leg space for the rear passengers. 3 mode for the memory seat with electric adjustable. Beautiful classic look on the meters with white faced that feels like looking into an expensive watch. A push start engine button to have a sporty feel. Steering wheel look cool with remote buttons to the control panel and cruise control. A great touch towards the steering wheel with cool leather wrap. Good views to the rear and blind spots from the rear and side mirrors. Built in head unit with red lighting as a background to give you a racing feel. An add on 7+1 enhanced cabin audio to make the drive a comfortable and surround sound feel of a cinema. Come with climate control air-condition with rear air con too. Ride height seem acceptable. Test Drive (Power and handling): A continental feel while turning the steering. I am amazed with the well built heavy steering which appear on continental cars. Quiet with smooth gears change. Great pick up and I am surprise with the power that Kizashi produce. As stated on paper this car 0-100 in 8.8sec is indeed not a joke. With the feel of the VVT kicking in around 4000rpm but what surprised me was how quiet this car is when I floored the paddle. It handles pretty good with fast entry into the corners. Lesser body roll was felt comparing to some other japan made sedan. Very quiet and comfortable when driving at a comfortable speed level. I give it a 4/5stars for the comfort drive and great handling. Overall, a car I will consider buying if the price is right.
