Kia Optima K5 2.0 (A) Review
Kia's fourth generation Optima K5 enters a competitive mid-sized sedan segment that has rapidly caught up to its stylish disposition. Can it still stand out?

If ignore the brand, this is an awesome car `
Have been driving Optima for the past 1 year, it really meets all my need and I think overall this is a very worthwhile car for me. The price is very reasonable, it is the cheapest among all 2.0L executive sedan and about $5k more than civic when I bought it. Although a lot of people complain about the lacking of features, but I feel otherwise. It comes with 2 driver memory seat setting which is extremely useful for me, the side mirror auto fold and auto tilt downwards when gear at reverse position, auto rain sensor and auto headlight, paddle shift, auto door lock, auto-hold function which hold your brake (very useful when on slope) About the audio panel, yes it is very old school. I got it changed to touch screen. Overall, I really like the ride and I write this post because I feel it is under-rated so far

Lush and Plush `
Test drove this car and placed it high on my choice of cars to buy. Although I eventually settled on a Japanese sedan, I must say this is car does rival most of the other Japanese mid sized sedans out there. The moment you open its door this car exudes luxury with the Drivers seat automatically sliding back to allow you more space to slip in. The interior finishings are TOP notch for its class, and sitting in it you might be fooled into thinking this was a higher end continental sedan. There is loads of space for both front and rear passengers as well , with three adults fitting comfortably in the back seat. The engine is relatively quiet and suspension is soft and nicely absorbs most road bumps. The car doesn't have a whole lot of power , but nevertheless you don't get the feeling that the car strains too much on pick up either. Perhaps my biggest grievance was with the entertainment system which seemed totally archaic compared to many other cars I tried. The SE said it might be possible to change the system but he couldn't be sure. All in all a very nice family car.

Value for money for a luxury sedan level!! `
Test drive and subsequently bought the car immediately! Kia has had bad reputation and is upping their game to gain consumer trust. Unfortunately, the Asian perception takes a little bit more time to change. I've owned a Cerato Forte and couldn't believe the quality that Kia can produce given the price. The Optima K5 is one great car with decent features. Unfortunately, the model in Singapore is merely a base model with many features removed. I would have given it a higher rating if options were given to consumers for higher specs.

Luxury looking car at the reasonable price `
Been driving the 2016 Optima for a month. What i can say is this should be a perfect car BUT, too many features has been removed. What you see in here is not what you are getting. No foglight, no climate control(disappointing). But overall is a good car at this price. Cause you can't get any car with these features at this price even they removed some of it. Many people still having traditional thinking that Korean car are still behind technology. But all these new Kia prove us they are already ahead of many Japanese car. Can't afford a luxury conti car so this is consider a very luxury car to me in my budget.
