My first car to own. I have being shopping for quite some time. I need a value car, of certain quality. Car in my consideration : "Lancer GLX", "Avante HD" , and "New Cerato Forte". Friends always said Korean Car cannot make it or Fuel consumption lousy. But after owning it now. The Car turnout to be a car more than just value car. It is a high quality car. Be it Exterior, Interior, or Performance, all of those are top notch. The accessories and features are breathtaking for the price i'm paying. Now, I am a proud owner of this Super Value and High Quality car.

Gotten my 2.0SX. I like everything about this car. Consumption is ok, stylish, and very comfortable. Came with lot of accessories (including body kits) and sunroof.

With this price, can you get a car that offered similar features? I bet you can't!

I got my ride in Mar and frankly speaking, I'm glad to own this car in terms of features, and design. However, the pickup may be a little frustrating at times. Nevertheless, the pickup is still quite within the bearable range. Given all the features provided, it is indeed value for money.

Just bought the new cerato forte EX manual. The sound system is gd. nice interior. The exterior looks like lancer Ex for side n the rear looks like Lexus. Will attract pple's attention. But i find tat the pick up is very lack n no power. Only when comes to 100km onwards. 1st gear to 4 gear no power. N the clutch can't feel the biting point. N can't really do any adjustment. Fuel efficency average. If wanna buy this car i recommand auto.

For starters, I do not trust Korean cars. Due to budget problem, I had no choice but to go for these cars. My first choice was Avante. While travelling along Leng Kee, looking for Komoco, for a moment, I thought that somebody was testing a Mitsubishi Lancer EX. But at a certain angle, it was not. I saw a few more cars of the same models driving past me. Then I started to wonder and asked my wife what were those cars. Then she told me those were the Kia Cerato Forte. Without even thinking, I made a U-turn and turned left into the Kia showroom. One hour later, I was a happy man. It is an SX model for me :)

What I like
- Exterior. Superb design-better than some Jap models
- 17-inch alloy
- I-Pod and USB
- Chrome door handles
- Chrome tipped tailpipe
- Rear parking assist system
- Electro chromic rearview mirror

The salesperson can be pushed to the maximum as I managed to get 4 freebies not listed here and not factory fitted and I was not recommended by anyone!

What I do not like
- motor assist power steering seems to be too light
- nice 17-inch rims but the design could be sportier
- would be better if there is cruise control (haha)
- 2 months waiting time

Review
1. Value for money 2.0L with 6 airbags, styling, moonroof and cruise control.

2. Adequate performance for local street use, need to test the highway cruising

3. Good insulation and refinement for its class

4. Downside - overly light steering at low speed, steering pull to one side when I step on the gas harder

Other comparables: Avante, Altis, Lancer EX and Civic.

Tested the car when it was launched back in february and tested the very same unit again in may to find out that even after so much test drives by others, most of the equipment remains rigid. Bought one right after the 2nd test. Power delivery is decent enough, handling is good the only downside was the overlylight and artificial steering feel. With all the kits as standard available on the 1.6sx, it post questions on why others like the overly priced civic cannot follow suit. Great job on pricing and promotion by C&C Kia. Great Value for moeny

After waited for almost 2months+ i finally got the car.. initally i dun like anything about kia.. i was about to go other car brand, until my friend stop me and ask me go down to test drive it.. after looking at it.. i find the design of the exterior is nice.. something i dun like is the red interior.. i do prefer blue.. but after driving it for 1 week.. everything was good and steady.. good luck for the next owner.. enjoy the Kia Forte =)

interior lighting is not blue =(

Went to test drive 1.6A EX after hearing so much good reviews about it.

Good outlook but kind of disappointed with the handling part and no freebies. Salesman only willing to consider giving me a leather seats and no body kit like when they first launch. Anything more than that will be at a price. Sigh.

Exterior is very trendy and stylish.

What I do not like
Long waiting time for steel gray color. Salesman said got to wait until Oct 2009. Comfort level fair.

I must say that i like this car so much of the outlook and what they have in store for the Kia Forte. Really a good car for someone is on budget. Buy...buy don't hesitate. Can't wait for my bid to approved!

I was at Kia 2 weeks ago to test drive Cerato Forte as I was comparing Avante with it. Didnt have a good impression with the salesperson as he keeps on badmouthing Avante and praising Kia new Cerato Forte which really put me off.

Whenever this salesguy mentioned about their Cerato Forte or company, he would add a statement to put down Komoco. I was quite pissed as when I was at Komoco, the salesperson did not criticise Kia Cerato when I mentioned that I am comparing the 2 before I decide which to buy.

I guess by now you would have guess that I go for the 3 years old Avante versus the 2 months old Cerato Forte which was what the latter has been promoting really hard.

What I like
Kia

The outlook is fantastic. Nothing to mention about its engine. What can you expect? As for features, much better than Avante.

What I do not like
The interior... as compared to Avante, hmmm... it is abit on the inferior end. Perhaps the designer focus is on its exterior outlook but not the interior. The gear box... I find it too plastic. Reliability, I am not too sure as it is a 2 months car versus Avante which has been out on the road for quite a while. No hard feelings to those Forte buyers. It is just my 2 cents worth of thoughts.

I went to test drive and bought the car 3 weeks ago as I was really attracted by the new look of the car. I test drove the 1.6EX version and certainly this car is value for its money. First it looks nicer than the Altis and many other Japanese make cars. Secondly, its so much more cheaper!! Definately much better than the Avante. And it is getting increasingly common on the road. My neck is growing longer by the day as I am still waiting for it....

So i have tested the 1.6sx auto. Smooth and steady. I like it but i wonder can the engine be modified? I mean i want more horsepower. Can anybody advise me. But anyway i have sign the Kia 1.6sx auto and the sales girl did serve me well. She said that i have to wait for 2 months. I did ask for the spoiler to be remove but they can't do it. So sad. But i am happy for the purchase. Hopefully my loan approved fast.
