Review
I have been driving the Mazda 2 for 2+ months now, mainly for Grab. I was bought over by the looks; It looks almost indistinguishable from the Mazda 3. However, I have 2 main peeves about this car; It's uncomfortable for both the driver and the passengers, and it's poor sound insulation.

What I like
- looks like a nice sedan
- looks small but the boot is spacious!
- although loud, but the pick up is pretty good
- easy handling with nice turning radius

I would recommend this car for:
- students buying their first car
- drivers who only use the car for getting around themselves for short distances
- drivers who like the look of a Mazda 3 but can't afford it yet

What I do not like
- poor ergonomics, got back pain after driving for 2 weeks, neither to buy a lumbar support pillow.
- poor to average leg room for passengers.
- poor sound insulation + engine too loud. When on the highway, it's so noisy that I can't even hear the radio.
- not sure if it's the suspension, but it's a super bumpy ride. I can feel the roughness of the road, and every little stripe or bump makes the car bounce.
- no aircon vent behind, need to blast aircon from the front. so it's like warm behind, but freezing cold in-front.
- no rear window wiper, i feel quite dangerous.
- boring radio, only text display screen
- USB port provided to charge phone, but charges too slowly to keep up with my phone battery usage when using GPS.
- car starts rattling above 100km/h
- the Mazda i-stop turns off the engine when car is idle. but it's actually pretty irritating especially when it jerks the car into motion. Also feel it will spoil the starter if on long drives. I turn it off every single time.
- radio has no bluetooth function

I would not recommend this car for:
- people who get carsick easily
- people who like to listen to music while driving.
- PHV drivers (grab/tada/gojek)

Review
Having owned the Mazda 2 sedan deluxe for 17 months, other than servicing arrangements, I have no complaint about the car so far. What astonishes me is its outstanding fuel economy. I'm surprised that the system electronically registers fuel consumption as 6.4L/100 km or 15.63 km per litre from day one. I also calculate my fuel consumption manually using the same ESSO station and at the same pump. Each time I pump full tank auto stop I record the mileage travelled and number of litres consumed. On most occasions I managed between 15 - 16 km/l but on some occasions like last week I managed 16.7 km per litre. Compared to my previous car, my monthly petrol bill has been cut by half.
Road holding and braking are excellent and that is despite drum brakes at the rear. There is hardly any body roll when rounding sharp bends and best of all, the standard Dunlop tyres do not make any noise at all.
My only complaint is not about the car but servicing. For regular servicing, Trans Eurokars need to learn from Borneo Motors. Booking for a servicing appointment is only through the phone. When the servicing warning light appears, a typical phone appointment takes a month and the car has to be left in the workshop with no approximate time frame given for collection.
At Borneo Motors, one can choose an appointment date and time online which typically is a week at most. Quick routine servicing is completed in an hour or less with major servicing 2 - 3 hrs. Owners can wait cosily in the lounge while their car is being serviced. To be fair, the staff at Eurokars is polite but waiting is a no, no, as the hard foodcourt like chairs at Leng Kee is unlike the sofas at Borneo Motors where you can even doze off while your car is being serviced. Despite the car being a man in the street car, servicng rates are not man in the strict prices.

What I like
1. Extremely good fuel economy. (15 -16 km/l)
2. Good road holding and no tyre noise when rounding bends.
3. Extremely quiet engine, so quiet that on many occasions, I forgot to switch of the engine but luckily the system did not allow me to lock the car until the engine is off.
4. Very quick take off from start,
5. Good driving comfort.
6. Trouble free to date

What I do not like
1. Arrangement for routine servicing of car. Never tell you when your car can be ready. Typical answer "We'll call you on your handphone when it is ready." Sometimes never call but text. If you miss the text message, god bless you.
2. Limited storage compartments in the car - one glove compartment and one each on the front doors.
3. No console box.

I had experienced some noises in most of my new cars but surprisingly, from day 1, this Mazda2 sedan was extremely quiet, so quiet that I went on to restart the engine thinking that it went dead.

What I like
Spacious with ample leg room for 4.
Big boot.
Good pick up.
Good road holding with 16" wheels.
Nice looking sports rims.

What I do not like
Inadequate interior storage spaces.
Tyres a little noisy.
Too many gadgets which I am unlikely to use and which may fail and add to maintenance cost.
A navigation system which does not seem to work. Could not even detect my own address even after using postal code. System does not allow me to use all the 26 letters of the alphabet and some numbers. Usually restricted to a list of suggested roads after typing the first 3 - 5 letters and would not allow me to key in the full road and address. Was told that it could be data problem from the SD card supplied. Have yet to rectify it with agent.

Review
Registered and driven since early Feb 16 after trade-in my previous Mazda 2 saloon of 6 years old. There is a vast improvement in driveability, performance and comfort level. Practical has no major issue with the past Mazda 2, with just a change of the engine blocks and a broken down left auto rear view mirror. Thus durability is never an issue.
The new 1,5 engine coupled with the 6-speed auto is a effective and efficient combination. The performance is better than the Mazda 3 in terms of response and power. Road holding at various speeds are excellence with good road holding with and sharp and accurate steering system.
The interior is superbly re-designed and with European styling. Dashboard with eye-catching design and the control knots are easy to use and feel good enough for the price of this range. Comfortable seats and a reasonable good quality sound system.
Size is similar to my previous 2 saloon, despite the smaller seats, the new 2 offers excellent comfort for 4.
Externally, the design is modern and look better than the cars of the same category.

What I like
A well combination of new engine and its 6-speed auto trans providing good responses as needed in city and highway.
Lower fuel consumption in comparison to my previous 2
Improve comfort level and noise level
A sharp and accurate steering system
A right size car for a family of 4 and with a big boot.

What I do not like
The hump at the rear seat. No purpose for a front driven car. Should be removed for a flat floor
The plastic panel not fitted well at both the rear windows

Review
I just bought a Mazda 2 saloon in KL for my dad. It's a no-brainer. It's the best looking inside out. It's the most sophisticated by a huge margin. The Toyota Vios is still using the platform, engine and antiquated 4-speed automatic from the first generation. As is the Honda City.

It handles and rides very well. It's comfortable and refined enough at normal driving speeds. The engine is punchy enough and combined with the light weight and 6-speed auto returns 19 km/l while the Vios can only do 15. The polished 16" Alloy wheels look expensive.

The only thing I didn't like is that it is made in Thailand and not Japan.

But despite that this is still the default choice if you are looking for a small 4-door saloon. The Vios rides pretty well but has an interior that looks cheap. The City rides like boat which is to say not good at all. The 2 deserves to succeed!

Review
Had to check out the new Mazda2 sedan when i saw it. It's quite an intriguing car, styling wise it has come a long way. I think the new generation Mazdas look awesome, and this one is no different.

Its a small car, no two ways about it. The interior is small, which will probably put off families and the like. But beyond that, it is a really impressive car. The interior is comfortable, well equipped, and for a 80+k car, i think you are really getting quite a lot for your money.

the driving experience is what really stayed with me. Its light on its feet, the engine is very hearty, and its just fun to drive. It handles well, and is comfortable to drive. I mean, if you are looking for a car in this price range, why would u look anywhere else?

What I like
- good looking little car
- comfortable and well equipped interior
- excellent driving characteristics
- value for money

What I do not like
- small seats might be an issue for some
- sheet metal feels hollow
