Went to my usual car rental company and wanted to rent an axio... They then recommended an allion and have to top up $10 extra per day... Why not? So gave it a try n immediately fell in love with it... Drove the car to Genting with wife, no problem... She also fell in love with it... Came back to Spore and scout ard for an allion... Found one bought it... Managed to hit 180km/h but car was wabbly... Installed 5 piece ultra racing strut bars, lowered with tanabe nf210 springs and now 180km/h with one hand on steering wheel... Pick wise is abit sluggish i must say... Change to k&n drop in air filter n pivot solved the problem... Consumption 40% city 60% highway is about 14km/l... Reasonable... My next car will definately be a JDM toyota... Allion 1.8? 2.0? Camry? Mark X? Only time will tell... :)

What I like
Quietness of engine
Keyless push start
110km/hr rpm at 2000
Both visor has mirror n light
Mini mark x interior

What I do not like
Wabbly suspension
Not much accessories
Rear wiper no intermitten

This July 2011, it will be 3 years since i owned this Allion of mine. As you see the breakdown by the name, its ALL IN ONE.
Yes, it has comfort, luxury interior, boot space, incline rear passenger seats, 60-40 foldable rear seats back rest and fuel efficient 1.5 VVTi engine.
This car has been to Terenganu, KL, Melaka, Muar and JB of course.
And it has no problem to reach 180Km/H in the NSHW and its very stable due to its weight.
Most important things about ALLION is cool air con. As tested it under 5hrs of jam in the 2nd link causeway, and still air con is still very cold.

What I like
comfort
luxury interior, ie:rubber mat dashboard
big boot space
incline rear passenger seats, good for long distance driving
60-40 foldable rear seats back rest
fuel efficient 1.5 VVTi engine
fitted with cold aircon

What I do not like
less leg room space
not flat rear floor

My combined FC of 60 highway, 40 urban
13.8km/l @best with normal acceleration. Meter always show better result like 15km/l, but i don't think it is accurate due to my petrol bill.

18km/l as claimed may be just a myth or marketing gimmick, because my neighbour at best is just 14.5km/l with 70 highway N 30 Urban.

Even though FC may be slightly better than most 1.5cc or 1.6cc cars, but it has its flaws, subjective to anybody's expectation. Personally, i don't like the ride quality. Suspension & road handling needs improvement, and over a 2yr period, it has gotten worse. After i've test driven a Kia, i really think that Japanese aren't making good everyday cars. The car is light, yes it gives good FC but i think it isn't well built for safety, just my opinion after a bad experience.

Chevrolet Cruze LS seems a tough car to beat in safety, was really considering that, but i always wanted an MPV.
I settled for a Citroen Picasso, as i like its comfortable ride and features.

What I like
Affordable during my time.
Not so bad, since slightly better FC, however not as impressive as others claimed.

What I do not like
Ride quality, do not absorb bumps well. Steering has little feedback at high speed. Jap cars always give me the floating feeling on wet condition, guess the car is too light for stability. Built quality is so-so.

I must say that I am surprised this car does not feel like a luxury car when i sat in. The ride is rubbish as someone who has ridden a Mercs or Audi would tell you. However, I still think this car is epic.

First of all, for a 1.5c.c car, I'm surprised it's engine is more astonishing than a 1.8 Altis. If you switch from a passenger role to a driver, you can feel the revs of the engine go up once you touch the pedal (sounds like a minature Mark X).

The interior is something that I like. The most elegant interior combination would be redwood and black leather. The seating feels excellent for a car of it's price level. Though the soundproofing is weaker than a cheaper Latio, the engine is somewhat very quiet. The best thing is a reclinable rear row which makes the back row passenger/s feels like they're in a lounge or a bed.

Fuel Consumption, I so think no other cars in this world except hybrid freaks can match Allion's FC. The CVT-i is just magnificent. An averge would be 12km/l but on highway without stopping, it once went up to 27km/l (So long as you are not a cranker in acceleration)

What I like
FC

Reclinable rear row seats, only car in the market to do that

Heavy Doors, makes the car feels heavy and expensive, yet it doesn't really affects FC

Engine. Extremely quiet unlike 6-speed or 4-speed autos where you can hear gear changes and berserking revs.

What I do not like
Air-Con. You can blast AC for 10min at full power but still get a 30 degrees interior on a typical hot day.

Width. If Allion can increase it's width to 180cm, I think no one would be buying Camrys or Accords.

Rims. Oh Please can the designers make the Rims bigger for better looks and a luxury class comfortable ride?

Great day to test drive our choice of I test drove the Allion with speedo motoring and test drove the Premio with Aston Auto. The styling of this two cars are simply amazing but I prefer the Premio for the first test. 2nd impression, Fuel comsumption. Toyotas. 2nd impression, Fuel comsumption. Premio's FC is unbelivable but Allion's 2nd impression, Fuel comsumption. Premio's FC is unbelivable but Allion's is slightly better. Last but not least, the features. Both features are great but safety is not good. So, my crew prefer Toyota Allion!

What I like
Toyota Premio:
-Stylish Looks
-Amazing FC
-Superb handling
-most of all
Toyota Allion:
-Looks
-FC
-Solid make.

What I do not like
Toyota Premio:
2 airbags?
Toyota Allion:
2 airbags?!!

I bought it nearly 2 years ago. Since then, I only change engine oil nad filter, no breakdown, no repairs needed. Just top up fuel and drive. Since the size is bigger than most of 1.5 Ltr cars, it is very stable on the road. You don't even notice when you have reached 110 km/hr. Steering is light and breaks are very responsive. FC is lower than other 1.5s. It was built in Japan which proves that the quality is better in every details, and very refine. I had a doubt before I bought because it is from a PI? After I went for servicing, I find it much better because you don't have to book your time or leave the car and pick up in the evening or so. Lass crowded at the workshop. They can start to work almost immediately.

What I like
First of all is keyless go. 2nd. is many alarms like seat belt (driver & passenger), foot break etc. which reminds you in case you missed out or forget. 3rd. would be foot break, which is better than the usual hand break and clears the area where the hand break use to be. 4th. is telescopic adjustable steering wheel. 5th. is inclining rear seat. 6th. is rear screan wiper which comes in handy sometimes when you need it. 7th. is mirrors with lights on the sun visor. 8th. is cannot lock if you forgot the key (sensor) inside the car. I like that very much because I left the key inside and lock the car many times in the pass before the remote lock was introduced. 9th. would be refinements compaired to the ones built in Thailand. 10th would be comfort. You cannot compair with the comfort you'll get from Camry or Lexus, but compaired to other cars in the same 1.5 class or even with most 1.6 class cars. Allion is much better in ride and noise levels are quite low.

What I do not like
I like how it looks from the front but dosen't like every much from the rear. Maybe should install more lights like Premio. The wood trim looks good but would be better with higher quality wood texture like Camry or Altis deluxe model. Want to have leather trim or wood trim steering wheel.

Review
Had the car for almost a mth. Very luxurious interior and intelligent keyless operations. This should be one of the very few cars in current market at the same class with the spacious cabin & low fuel consumption. Gives a luxurious feel while driving. If you are looking for a spacious sedan with an executive feel, low fuel-consumption, quiet & comfortable ride, the Allion might just be the ONE!

What I like
VVTi + Super CVTi
Competent performance even for a 1.5L model
Comfortable (higher) driving position
Very quiet & spacious cabin
Luxury & interior finishing
Keyless operations
Incredible FC of 15km/l (average) for a car this size

What I do not like
Pricey compared with other cars of the same class.
