Was initially sceptical about this car due to the high price, CVT, and tiny 1.5l engine.

Having driven 2 CVT cars previously, I would liken the experience of CVT acceleration to having someone strap a huge rubber band around your waist and asking you to run forward. You sweat and grunt and put in a lot of effort but keep getting pulled back from running to your full potential.

However, I was blown away by the drive in the latest Accord. Here, the CVT is used to create a buttery smooth acceleration. No revving dramas at all. Acceleration is not lacking by any means, and combined with the cushy ride and quiet interior, the normally aggressive and sporty driver in me was immediately tamed. I turned into a calm Camry uncle behind the wheel of this car and didn't wish to drive on the Sport mode which the car comes with.

That is probably a good thing as well, as if you do actually want to drive it in a sporty manner, body roll will kill your vibe. The BMW 3 series or Mazda 6 2.5l handle much better round the corners. This is where the current Accord will not resonate with the Euro R gangster drivers from not too distant history.

Moving on to the interior space - huge is the word. It is luxuriously appointed as well, although the sunroof sits a bit too close to the heads of taller drivers. There is also tons of helpful tech, such as the camera view of the left side whenever you signal left, wireless charging for your mobile, etc. Etc. Unfortunately, Kah Motors specced it without auto parking, which would have been useful when lending this large and expensive car to family members who do not drive often.

All in all, this is a luxury (not sporty) car that will impress even driving enthusiasts. It probably will cost more than an Audi A4 on discount (which happens several times yearly so don't pay full MSRP for those, but I digress) so it's not cheap. But it's of properly good quality and will probably not break down as much. Plus you can pay "Cheap Honda" Maintenance for it. Why not?

-Doesn't have looks that make you fall in love with it instantly
-Body roll around corners
-Kah removed the self parking feature

The smoothest 1.5T car I have driven. Very good handling and adequate power for its size. Loads of tech features.

A pity this latest model is not a good looker as compared to previous editions. However looking below the bonnet will always make you smile. Personally the gem in a Honda is always the engine and for those who have driven or sat in a Honda powered by their VTEC technology will not forget the kick when VTEC kicks in. Even till today, the legendary S2000 is still pretty much alive and kicking many other newer models A**. A pity Honda is now into turbo charging their engine as well. You do save on road tax with a smaller cc turbo engine but the VTEC feel is no longer the same. Nevertheless without the good old roar of the VTEC, the Accord have matured into a great and comfortable family car.

Being away from home for an extended period driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee, I really missed the robustness and sturdiness of my Jeep especially during those severe weather and winter months.

Bought this beauty on National Day 2020. Was pleasantly surprised at what this 10th Gen Honda Accord throws at me with its wonderful sensing technologies which parallels the likes of the North American equivalent.

What I like
All the bells and whistles on safety sensing that comes with this car. Could be overwhelming at times with the warnings/alerts which the car is outfitted with: Honda Sensing suite (Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist System). The safety feature actually outweighs the inconvenience for me, I guess. Afterall, it's how well the vehicle can keep our family (and ourselves) safe from harm.

Spacious with lots of leg room for passenger and the boot for storage.

What I do not like
I wish a lot more of the features like traffic sign recognition and parking assist or HUD could be including in this Singapore version that are offered in the other countries. Definitely willing to pay for it but not too high a premium.

Engine is a little over-rated and the interior finishing could be better. E.g. the fake plastic wood finishing is a turnoff for me.

Test drove this & Toyota Camry and I owned a Mazda 3. Bought this car.
Spacious, you get a full size sedan which is fully featured. Lots of safety and driving aids. The blind spot camera on left turn is particularly valuable.
Adaptive cruise control is very effective and much better than basic CC.
Good power especially in sports mode, needs a bit or a run up in reverse for bumps. Steering is nice and responsive. The brake hold is useful at traffic lights. Seat memory very useful. Lines very nice - sporty but no compromise on headroom - I kept hitting my head against the doorframe in the Camry and would also with the Mazda if the seat was set high.
Console is neat, driver display and steering wheel controls are comprehensive. There is wireless charging for phone and lots of USB ports.
The system is a bit less intuitive than the Mazda but has more features. The lack of a central console dial is made up by excellent steering wheel controls.
Electronic handbrake is a plus

What I like
Fully featured, Honda Sensing is very complete and feels a mature technology
Smooth drive and quiet
Smaller engine but not a big loss of performance
Spacious for driver and passengers

What I do not like
Price higher than rivals - though discounts help
The proximity alarms when driving/ parking are not for the nervous

Test drove it today. Wonderful drive from an esteemed brand. Looks sharp like a sports-back but is actually a sedan. Sleek and sexy.

What I like
-surprisingly nice drive
-easy on the throttle. 1.5 ltr turbo feels like a 2.0
-very spacious interior especially in the back
-beautiful new interior design
-full Honda Safety features with Adaptive cruise control
-memory driver seat
-over supply of USB slots
-wireless charging for smart phones
-comes with a spare tire
-cold air-conditioning. Honda is famous for this
-seldom things go wrong with a Honda. Should lasts you the whole 10 years
-Nice and friendly SE but this is subjective

What I do not like
-CVT. Whinny as hell especially in sports mode
-only 1 available trim. No 2.0 ltr with 10 speed gearbox for local market
-over-priced with low ARF value
-too much body roll at cornering
-too many hard and cheap plastics inside. Does not justify the pricing
-comes only in an all black interior. No other option offered
-the whole car feels light
-small boot space
