The all new Honda City marks the birth of the fourth generation of Honda's sporty family sedan.
Revolutionary, more luxurious, better performing and better equipped than any other model in the Honda City's 18-year history in Singapore, the new City remarkably advances Honda's 'Man Maximum, Machine Minimum' design philosophy to a level not previously available.
At the same time, vehicle dynamics, driver involvement and advanced technology sets the City apart from its lesser competitive class rivals and at the same time offering class above performance and space.
By embracing compatibility and integration with the latest smart phone technology, the City offers the latest technological advancement to keep up with the lifestyle of owners who are always connected via the Internet.
Sleek lines on both sides of the body lend a unique look to the new Honda City. The platinum front grille as well as the headlights and tailights are in tandem to offer a perfect match.
The sporty presence is enhanced by the shark fin antenna on the roof. The interior design is more prominent with the roomiest rear cabin area in its class and a larger rear storage area that meets the needs of all lifestyles.
The all new City's audio system also has a 7.0-inch Advanced Touch Screen that supports a smartphone interface. Additionally, the triple gauges in the instrument panel, illuminated by blue light, provide clear driving information.
As a first on the Honda City equipment lineup, the new City also offers a One-Push Start System as well as Honda's Smart Key System.
The all new City comes with a heavily revised 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC engine that produces 120bhp at 6,000rpm and 145Nm of torque at 4,800rpm.
This powerplant is mated to Honda's new Earth Dreams continuously variable transmission (CVT), which is augmented with enhanced gear ratios and a G-Design Shift. Together, they offer better fuel consumption and provide the best acceleration performance. For even greater driving fun, a paddle shift system is incorporated into the multifunction steering wheel to provide a seven-speed shift system.
The all new Honda City's environmental performance is geared to set a new standard in its competitive class. The new City has an excellent fuel economy of 17.5km/L and a CO2 output of 135g/km, which allows the car to qualify for a $10,000 CEVS rebate.
At press time, the new Honda City retails at $113,900 (with COE).
