Buyers claim car dealer cheated them of deposits

More than 20 unhappy buyers gathered at a car dealership on Monday after the dealership failed to deliver the cars they had bought.
According to The Straits Times, this group of people claimed that they have bought cars from Volks Auto Pte. Ltd. in the last few months, but have not taken delivery of their cars even when the agreed dates have past.
They were enticed by the low selling price of the cars, which were up to $10,000 cheaper than other parallel importers. However, the dealership gave excuses, such as the cars being stuck in immigrations, when they went to collect their purchases months later.
Around 50 of these buyers found each other by going to the shop, which has been closed since Saturday, or through online motoring forum MyCarForum.com.
The buyers affected are also discussing actions they could take, while a separate group had gone to make a police report.
