SBS Transit extends bus and train services on eve of CNY

The Straits Times reported that SBS Transit train services will operate two hours longer than usual while the last bus timings for 38 bus services will be extended on the eve of Chinese New Year. However, several bus services will be affected by road closures as well as changes in their operating hours.
On the North East Line, the last train in the direction of HarbourFront will depart from Punggol Station at 1:33am, while the last train towards Punggol will leave HarbourFront Station at 1:55am.
Services on the Punggol and Sengkang LRT systems will be extended to coincide with the last train arrivals from the North East Line.
To complement the extension of train services, SBS buses will be operating for longer hours. The last bus timings for 35 selected bus services - 2, 12, 33, 51A, 60A, 63/63M, 80, 97, 124, 133, 147, 181, 197, 222, 225G, 228, 229, 232, 238, 240, 241, 243G, 261, 269, 282, 291, 292, 293, 315, 325, 333, 334, 358, 359 and 410W - will also be extended at their respective bus interchanges.
In addition, the operating hours of the three Chinatown Direct Services - CT8, CT18 and CT28 - will be extended. Eleven services - 10e, 14e, 30e, 74e, 89e, 97e, 128, 151e, 174e, 196e and 513 - will not be in operation during the evening peak hours, since the offices will be closed earlier.
Fifteen SBS Transit bus services - 2, 12, 33, 54, 63, 80, 124, 143, 145, 147, 166, 197, CT8, CT18 and CT28 - will skip eight bus stops along Eu Tong Sen Street, New Bridge Road, Outram Road and Upper Cross Street due to road closures for the Chinatown CNY Countdown 2015 event. This will be from 5:00pm on Wednesday, 18th February to 3:00am on Thursday, 19th February.
