With competitive prices in their arsenal, Toyota's Singaporean distributor Borneo Motors aims to aim the Wish in the face of those seeking solace from buying the authorized distributor way.
The Toyota Wish from Borneo motors will start from $73,388 after a $1000 early bird discount, $500 loyalty discount, $2500 in-house finance rebate and $500 AIG insurance rebate.
The Wish has a 1ZZ-FE engine found in the Toyota Celica, and puts out 132bhp at 6000rpm and 170Nm of torque at 4200rpm. The engine is mated to a four-speed automatic with Super ECT shift programs, while suspension setup remains to be a rather simple torsion-beam/McPherson setup for rear and front respectively.
Also, Borneo Motors has opted to stay with the leading-trailing drum brake design for the rear discs, while fronts receive ventilated disc brakes. Other forms of equipment include ABS, brake assist, electronic brake-force distribution, airbags, reverse sensors, manual leveling controls for headlamps, retractable outside rear view mirrors, clean-air air-conditioning filters, electronic power steering, 60:40 split 2nd row rear seats, half leathers, a touch screen set with integrated single disc CD and MP3 player and 195/65 R15 alloy wheels.
Borneo Motors also announced that there will be additional, otherwise optional accessories featured as standard equipment such as a 5-piece bodykit inclusive of a high mount, rear LED brake light, reverse camera, side mirror indicators, illuminated scuff plate, window visors and a muffler cutter, all of which enhance the car's appearance that might appeal to the younger buying crowd.
