Originally set to go on sale towards the end of 2015, Honda has announced that the NSX (sold in America under the Acura name) will instead head into production next year with a release date set for spring 2016.
Instead of production starting this fall, as previously announced, the NSX will instead be coming off the line at Honda's Marysville, Ohio factory in spring. "Trial production" has already started, Honda said, while briefly acknowledging the delay in their press release.
The new, dedicated Performance Manufacturing Centre (PMC) is set to produce the NSX for both the American and European market, with Honda assuring that the PMC employs groundbreaking techniques in weld, body construction, body painting, final assembly and quality confirmation to ensure the highest levels of precision and craftsmanship.
