Jaguar reveals the all new XF
18 Aug 2015|11,042 views
The all new Jaguar XF is lighter, more efficient, and chock-full of technology, as Jaguar makes its bid to be the leader in the business car segment. The new XF promises an unrivalled blend of design, luxury, technology and efficiency.
Staying true to the principles of elegant lines and disciplined surfacing, the new XF is the most visually dynamic car in the executive segment.
The coupe-like design is formed around an aluminium architecture, with elegant surfaces and flowing lines characteristic of Jaguar cars. The car also features a longer wheelbase, more interior space and a lower and shorter body that still manages significantly low aerodynamic drag. The new car manages to shed up to 190kg of weight, yet sees an increase in torsional stiffness of up to 28 percent.
The new XF sees a whole host of driver assistance systems, including Electric Power Assisted Steering, advanced passive damper technology, Adaptive Dynamics system, Jaguar's Confiugurable Dynamics technology (optional on all V6 models), and All-Surface Progress Control.
Stereo camera technology in the car enables autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning and lane-keep assist systems. Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist takes the stress out of motorway driving in stop-go traffic by tracking the vehicle in front, at a safe distance.
On the inside, there is a seamless blend of contemporary luxury materials, traditional Jaguar craftsmanship and state-of-the-art technology, including a reconfigurable 12.3-inch TFT instrument cluster, laser heads-up display and the InControl Touch Pro premium infortaintment system, making the new XF the most connected Jaguar ever.
The all new XF range will consist of the XF Prestige, XF R-Sport, XF Portfolio and XF S, with a powertrain range consisting of a 163bhp and 180bhp 2.0-litre diesel manual and automatic, RWD 300bhp 3.0-litre V6 diesel automatic and a RWD 380bhp 3.0-litre V6 petrol automatic.
