Hyundai has unveiled the new G90 large luxury sedan, the flagship model that will top the new Genesis sub-brand's lineup.
Designed by the Prestige Design Division that will craft the visual identity of each Genesis model, the G90 is the first realisation of the brand's 'Athletic Elegance' design style.
The front fascia features boomerang-shaped LED head lights, a sculpted hood, and a hexagonal grille with a chrome frame and horizontal slats. The G90 features a long, flowing silhouette that's accented by pronounced wheel arches and a sprinkling of chrome trim.
The interior has been designed for human-centered ergonomics, total interior harmony, absolute convenience and luxurious comfort. The highest-quality, authentic materials adorn the cockpit, while throughout the cabin, the latest technologies sit among Nappa leather and glossy real wood.
The G90 is available with three engine choices: an entry-level 3.8-litre GDI V6 rated at 310bhp, a new 3.3-litre twin-turbocharged T-GDI V6 producing 365bhp, and a 5.0-litre V8 that pumps out 419bhp.
Genesis will offer the G90 with a long list of electronic driving aids including a semi-autonomous function called Highway Driving Assistance, Advanced Smart Cruise Control, and a Lane Keeping system. Additionally, the sedan packs a Smart Posture Caring system that takes into account the driver's height and automatically adjusts the seat, the position of the steering wheel, the door mirrors, and the heads-up display.
The newly introduced G90 in Korea will be rolling out to other markets, including United States, China, Russia and countries in the Middle East. A further five Genesis models will be launched over the next five years.
