Volkswagen has released teaser renderings of a Beijing-bound concept, showcasing its new high-tech direction in the premium Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment.
Touted as one of the most advanced luxury SUVs in the world, the concept demonstrates VW's continued digitisation of the automobile, with a new digital operation and display system that allows a new level of interactivity. The concept will merge the Active Info Display and infotainment system, while the lounge-style interior and digitised operation centres on the passengers.
The SUV will pack a plug-in hybrid powertrain with 376bhp and 700Nm of torque, and a full electric range of 50km. It will be able to go from 0-100km/h in six seconds and on to a top speed of 224km/h.
Stay tuned for more information as the concept vehicle makes its debut at the Beijing Motor Show later this month.
