Goodyear launched its latest premium tyre, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3, on June 26th at W Hotel Sentosa Cove, Singapore. The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 is a premium, luxury sport tyre, which boasts strong improvements over the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2, delivering 31 percent improved wear performance and shorter braking distance on both dry and wet roads. The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3's advance tyre technology helps drivers to stay in control and to enjoy the road ahead.
With proven Eagle family test wins and an OE track record, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 as Goodyear's premium offering for a growing luxury sport market is the latest addition to the successful Eagle product family.
The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3's new Grip Booster Technology comprises a grip booster compound and adhesive resin for stickiness, which delivers stronger grip for shorter braking and superior handling.
It's Active Braking Technology increases the contact surface and grip when braking, enabling an even shorter braking distance.
With Goodyear's new UHP Cool Cushion Layer reinforced construction technology, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 also benefits from a stronger, lightweight construction improving handling, cornering performance, tread wear and fuel efficiency compared to its predecessor.
The tyre is tested by independent organization DEKRA, which displayed leading results on tread wear compared to other premium tyres on the market. In fact, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 is projected to give up to 11,500km extra mileage or 31 percent more wear performance versus the competition.
Compared to said competition, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric has a 2.6m shorter braking distance on wet roads, a 1.3m shorter braking distance on dry roads and four percent more capable wet handling. The same test results also show a 10.9 percent superior rolling resistance compared to the average of its tested competitors.
"The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 is designed to suit the needs of consumers in Singapore. It demonstrates Goodyear's brand promise of delivering greater peace of mind, regardless of the destination," said Goodyear's Director of Product Planning - Asia Pacific, Peter Stacker.
The new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 is available in 41 sizes, from 17 to 20-inches.
