Top five reasons why you need to check out the 2016 Toyota Prius

I got myself in the driver's seat of a fourth generation Toyota Prius recently, and quite enjoyed myself. Christopher Tan, The Straits Times' Senior Transport Correspondent, had deemed it a delight to drive, saying it would make you smile while going the distance. After a few days on the road with it, I would totally agree with Chris.
Here are my top five lasting impressions of the hybrid car:
1. The look
It is a rather attractive car, I must say. Every one of my colleagues who came by for a closer look agreed as well. The colours and the exterior design were what stood out for them. The car I had for test drive was a lovely scarlet red and the lines were very smooth. The team at Toyota calls it the 'Dolphin Roof Silhouette'.
2. The eco function
This fuel efficiency function made me more conscious of the power/petrol use while driving, so I was consciously lighter on the pedal than I normally would be. But that's not to say the car doesn't have power. With three modes - eco, normal and power - I could switch to the 'power mode' to engage that extra boost I needed while on the expressway.
3. The HUD (Head-Up Display)
The main display console is located in the middle of the dashboard. For ease of driving, it has all the crucial instrumental readings displayed on the windscreen in the form of a HUD. That means, you can monitor your travelling speed in your line of sight, without having to lower your eyes. Nice work around, I reckon. The HUD is minimalist, and is generally a cool feature.
4. The quietness of the car (in contrast to the next point)
OMG, you won't realise how quiet this thing is until you hit the start button. I could not even feel any engine vibration when it was powered by the battery. This leads me to my last point.
5. The JBL sound system
The quietness of the car allowed me to appreciate the sound system, which brought out the real music on my favourite radio station ONE FM 91.3.
