Using the 911 Turbo as a base, 9ff has given the car a makeover, and the result is said to be inspired by the Porsche 356 Speedster from 1955, and features a number of modifications that improves the car’s performance and handling.

9ff has yet to reveal full details, but the car is set to be officially launched at the Essen Motor Show next week. Styling-wise however, the Speed9 has a shortened windshield, and the rear hump that used to house the soft-top has been changed to a flat hard cover for the Speedster look.

Under the hood, the Speed9 now produces 650bhp and 890Nm, thanks to a new sports air filter, an upgraded ECU, and a new 9ff sports exhaust system with a new sports catalytic converter. The gearbox is Porsche’s own Tiptronic system with steering paddles.

The handling has also been tuned, with adjustable stabilisers on the front and rear axles, double springs and four aluminium spring plates. The brakes have also been upgraded, with a 9ff brake system consisting of 380mm "compound" brake discs, 6-piston callipers and 9ff brake pads.

There are also minor cosmetic upgrades designed to improve the aerodynamics. The styling package includes a front apron, side skirts and a rear apron. Inside, the 9ff Speed9 has an alcantara dashboard, special 9ff Speed9 sports seats and a sports steering wheel. As with most high-end tuned sports cars, the Speed9 is highly customisable to suit the customer’s needs.
