The kit, called the MP350 package, increases the power of the standard Focus RS' 2.5-litre turbocharged inline five-cylinder engine from 305bhp to 350bhp, and torque goes up by 20Nm to 460Nm. This enables the Mountune Ford Focus RS MP350 to go from 0-100km/h in 5.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 266km/h.

Among the modifications made to result in the performance increase include adding a larger intercooler, a larger air filter box, a larger diameter exhaust downpipe and an uprated fuel pump, as well as an updated software calibration.

Ford approved the Mountune modifications despite launching the Ford Focus RS500 limited edition recently. "While the limited edition RS500 we are unveiling at the Leipzig Show today will remain the ultimate Focus RS, this upgrade provides existing customers with the attractive Ford-approved performance enhancement option that many RS owners have been asking for," said Focus RS500 executive Matthias Tonn.
