Carol is the name of Mazda's range of kei-class micro-mini city cars in Japan, and is based on Suzuki's Alto save for Mazda's badge and a different grille. The Carol is powered by a 660cc three-cylinder engine mated to a continually variable transmission.

The latest addition to the Carol range is the Carol GS4, which introduces four-wheel-drive to the city car. The GS4 also adds extra equipment such as keyless entry & keyless push button start system, an immobilizer, split folding rear seats, heated door mirrors and driver seat.

In Japan, the Mazda Carol GS4 4WD model is now on sale, and retails from 1,120,350 Yen, or about US$12,000 at current exchange rates.
