In May, the first installment of the series will kick off with a production of Macbeth as part of SRT's annual Shakespeare In The Park programme. Directed by Nikolai Foster and starring Adrian Pang as Macbeth, a total number of 20 shows will take place from April 28 to May 22 at the Fort Canning Park.

Following that, in November, Audi and SRT, together with the Esplanade Theatres By The Bay, will present what promises to be the highlight of Singapore's theatre season - Shakespeare's Richard III starring acclaimed actor-director Kevin Spacey. The production is the latest offering from The Bridge Project, a trans-Atlantic theatre collaboration between The Old Vic in London (Kevin Spacey) Neal Street (director Sam Mendes) and BAM in New York (Joe Melillo). The performances will take place from November 17 to 26 at the Esplanade Theatre.

Audi has been a longtime supporter of arts and culture worldwide, whether as a sponsor or as a host of its own events. Mr Reinhold Carl, managing director of Audi Singapore, says, "We are delighted to be doing our part to promote the arts scene in Singapore. The Audi Classic Series will add to this worthy global platform. The Audi Classic Series is yet another of Audi Singapore's initiatives to promote the arts and design in the city, following its highly successful sponsorship of the Audi Fashion Festival, the premier fashion event in Singapore.
