Opel Zafira Tourer Concept previews the next Zafira MPV

The Zafira Tourer Concept features the headlights, LED running lights and the fog lights all coming together in a boomerang-shaped structure, which is inspired by the Ampera Electric Vehicle. The Zafira also has conventional doors, unlike the smaller Meriva, and 20-inch rims, while the rear features high-sitting taillights and the two large exhaust pipes integrated into the rear apron.
"We have transferred the idea of a relaxing lounge to a vehicle and created an automobile wellness oasis, a place to relax and enjoy. Passengers can retreat in the lounge. It is a comfortable, roomy space where you really want to be - regardless if it's for a business trip or to relax for a long journey," says Mark Adams, Vice President of Design at Opel.
The biggest feature of the Zafira Tourer Concept is the panorama windscreen, connected to the glass roof, which gives the car an open and airy feel to the interior. As before, the Zafira offers room for seven, with Opel's FLEX7 seating arrangement, while various configurations include a lounge mode that offers four spacious business-class seats.
Opel has only mentioned that the Zafira Tourer Concept will be powered by a 1.4-litre petrol turbo engine that features Stop/Start technology, but will release more details of the Zafira at the Geneva Motor Show next week.
