The 911 Carrera 4 GTS is based on the 911 Carrera GTS, but comes equipped with four-wheel-drive, together with the Porsche Traction Management system. The Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS is available in both Coupe and Convertible forms.
The car is powered by Porsche’s 3.8-litre flat-six engine which produces 408bhp and 420Nm of torque, which allows the 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupe to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds, and the Cabriolet in 4.8 seconds. Both versions come standard with a six-speed manual transmission, while a seven-speed PDK gearbox is available as an option. With the PDK transmission, the Coupe’s 0-100km/h sprint time drops to 4.4 seconds.
Cosmetic changes to the 911 Carrera 4 GTS include a reflective stripe between the taillights plus the type name on the doors and engine lid. The cars come with standard 19-inch RS Spyder black wheels with central locking, while other styling details include the Sport-Design front bumper with black painted spoiler lip and side skirts.
Inside, the 911 Carrera 4 GTS features black Alcantara lining, a material that also covers the lower side of the dashboard, door panels, steering wheel rim, gear shifter and handbrake lever. The Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS will go on sale from July 2011.
