The new Fortuner sports the same facelifted look as the Hilux pick-up, which is called the Hilux Vigo in Thailand, where they are produced for Asian markets. The Fortuner is a seven-seater SUV that is based closely on the Hilux.
The facelifted Fortuner gets the same new front end with the chromed out, razor edge grille as the Hilux pick-up, new alloy wheel options, and interior refinements such as the redesigned instrument panel plus trim and equipment updates.
In Thailand, the Fortuner is available with two diesel engines, a 3.0-litre unit that produces 163bhp, and a 2.5-litre powerplant with 144bhp. There is also a 2.7-litre petrol engine which produces 160bhp that is exported to markets like Singapore.
