The all-new B-Class is set to bring about a higher level of refinement that is on par with Mercedes-Benz’s coupes, with a striking set of three-dimensional horizontal design lines that run across the dashboard. Various cabin finishes play on those lines in different ways under the themes of modern, sporty or classic, while the dashboard can also be covered in stitched ARTICO man-made leather.
The three-spoke steering wheel is taken from the CLS, and the instrument panel is made up of four analogue dials, with two small ones on the inside bottom-right of the speedometer and tachometer. Better quality materials promises to give the B-Class’ cabin a premium feel.
Mercedes-Benz says that the next-generation B-Class was designed at its Advanced Design Studio in Como, Italy, and adds that the new B-Class will be taking the "compact class to a whole new level". The car is expected to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and go on sale by the end of this year.
