As Mercedes-Benz celebrates the AMG's 45th anniversary, they also announced their future plans in the AMG Performance 50 Strategy that will see more new models.
Mercedes-Benz is celebrating AMG's 45th anniversary and what better way to celebrate than to ensure the AMG's continuity by announcing future plans for the company. With that in view, Mercedes-Benz announced their new "AMG Performance 50" strategy. Under this new strategy, the brand will roll out several new models including the A 45 AMG. The company did not go into specifics, but hinted at new variants based on the next-generation S-Class.
All-wheel drive will also play an important role in AMG's future as the company has promised to offer the system on non-crossover models. The first such vehicle will be the A 45 AMG which debuts in early next year.
On the engine side of things, AMG will handle the development and construction of the next-generation Mercedes V12. There's no confirmation on when they will arrive, but they will be built under the "one man, one engine" philosophy.
