Volkswagen Singapore has announced the arrival of the new Golf Match, combining the success of the 1.4 TSI with a generous level of standard equipment.

Building on the success of the Golf 1.4 TSI, Volkswagen Singapore has revealed a new variant of the iconic five-door hatch. Dubbed the Match, the Golf now comes with a more generous list of standard equipment.

For starters, the firm's innovative Park Assist system will now come as standard. Other no-cost accessories include multi-function trip computer and RCD310 entertainment system with 8 speakers. In the aesthetic department, the Match will inherit high-gloss black wing mirrors (as seen on the range-topping Golf R), tinted rear side windows, as well as 'Stratford' alloy rims in 16-inch application. On the inside, the Match will receive unique trim panels, front door scuff plates, and silver-grey stitching on the handbrake and gear lever.  
Under the bonnet, the Match boast the marque's renowned 1.4 TSI powerplant, coupled with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The 122 horses will see to the century sprint done in 9.5 seconds, sipping at a rate of just 6.0 L / 100km. 

The Golf Match will be launched at both the Alexander and MacPherson showroom this weekend, 30th June. Prices start from S$129,300, inclusive of COE.
