Following the revised sedan and station wagon body types, Mercedes-Benz has updated its coupe and cabriolet variants of the E-Class family. The two-door E-Class follows similar changes to the rest of the family in the aesthetics department on top of new powertrains, including the BlueDirect four-cylinder engines and the intelligent drive safety systems.
According to Dr Joachim Schmidt, member of the Management Board of Mercedes-Benz Cars and responsible for Sales and Marketing, "Three words sum up both the E-Class Coupe and the four-seating cabriolet model: captivating, athletic, passionate. It is especially pleasing that the two vehicles also incorporate the most intelligent technology ever. This makes them true dream cars."
The refreshed coupe and cabriolet wear the unified headlamp structure featuring anti dazzle LED lights as standard and a full LED technology available as an option. New front bumpers contain a more pronounced 'V shape' and larger air intakes. At the rear you get new tail lamps and a wide effect rear bumper with 'wing design' and chrome trims.
Like the exterior, Mercedes-Benz has also given the interior a chic update with stylish materials alongside clean surfaces. Two-part trims occupy across the entire dashboard and are available in either wood or aluminium. The fabric of the new E-Class Cabriolet offers high grade insulation - offering the lowest noise level in its class.
