The 2014 Range Rover will reportedly drop the current 5.0-litre V8 engine in favour of a smaller 3.6-litre supercharged V6 engine.
It is understood that this move is in a bid to achieve better fuel economy for the model. As a tradeoff for that, the model is expected to drop about 35bhp in power.
The naturally aspirated 5.0-litre V8 currently produces 375bhp and 508Nm of torque. The 0-100km/h sprint takes approximately 6.5 seconds.
In comparison, the new V6 engine will likely produce 340bhp and 450Nm of torque and the 0-100km/h will take slightly longer with an estimation of 7.1 seconds.
