Korean automaker Kia has unveiled the new 2013 Optima Hybrid which sees an improvement to its passenger compartment and the drivetrain.
Like the 2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, the Optima Hybrid has a stronger Hybrid Starter Generator, an upgraded lithium polymer battery and a more powerful electric motor that develops 47bhp.
With that, the model is able to have a combined output of 199bhp and 318Nm of torque, compared to the previous 206bhp and 264Nm of torque.
The model also gets improved styling such as restyled alloy wheels, aluminum suspension components, a reduced ride height and a rear spoiler.
There is also additional trunk space as well as a new EX variant that adds a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, GPS navigation and an eight-speaker Infinity audio system.
