SMRT will close part of the Circle Line on two Sunday mornings this month as it speeds up the replacement of power cables.
On 9th June and 23rd June, both Botanic Gardens and Farrer Road stations will operate with a single platform from 6:00am to 10:00am.
Trains in either direction will stop at the same platform as the other side is closed for engineers to swop cables.
It said passengers travelling between Caldecott and Holland Village stations should factor an extra 15 minutes into their travelling times.
Signs will be put up at affected stations and announcements will be made to inform passengers. Staff will also be deployed to guide passengers.
The operator said in a statement yesterday, "Changing the power cable on the Circle Line will minimise potential power outage and boost the reliability of the system."
SMRT expects to replace cables at all 30 stations by December.
