Red Bull's Team Principal, Christian Horner (above, centre), has been awarded with an OBE - after guiding the Infiniti Red Bull Racing team to three consecutive constructors and drivers' championship titles on top of his earlier work in junior categories with the Arden team.
He becomes the second Red Bull team member to be recognised, as Chief Technical Officer and Master Aerodynamicist Adrian Newey (above, left) - also received an OBE at the start of last year. Horner admitted he was shocked at the recognition and feels hugely honoured to receive it.
"It's all a bit unexpected. Incredible really, I'm naturally shocked, but I just feel very honoured and privileged to receive it. To be in the company of men and women who have achieved such great things for the country is something very, very special," Horner said.
Horner added, "This is right up there with what I have achieved in motor sport. You look at the list of people and that they have done across all different industries, charities, for their communities, then I'm hugely honoured."
