Goodyear Assurance TripleMax - Good tyres assured all year round

One of the most important safety features any vehicle can have is a good set of tyres. Tyres are a vehicle's only contact with the road and they play a vital role in vehicle performance, handling and safety.
These four little patches of rubber carry the full weight of the vehicle, while at the same time providing the grip for acceleration, steering and braking.
Unfortunately, the importance of good tyres in maintaining vehicle safety is often overlooked or taken for granted.
Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company
Established in 1898, the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is one of the world's largest tyre companies. It employs approximately 69,000 people and manufactures its products in 52 facilities in 22 countries around the world.
Its two Innovation Centres in Ohio and Luxembourg strive to develop state-of-the-art products and services that set the technology and performance standard for the industry.
Through advanced research and manufacturing practices, Goodyear continues to push the boundaries of innovation and remains 'One Revolution Ahead'.
Goodyear Assurance TripleMax
With consumer driven needs at the centre of its tyre innovations, Goodyear has rolled out the Assurance TripleMax, the first tyre to boast Goodyear's latest HYDROGRIP Technology that delivers maximum grip for maximum assurance.
Designed for mid-sized passenger vehicles, the new Goodyear Assurance TripleMax tyre is developed to provide drivers with shorter braking distances, particularly when driving in the rain, which is highly advantageous for a climate like ours.
The Assurance TripleMax is Goodyear's response to deliver a tyre which consumers have always wanted - one which focuses on increasing grip to improve safety, while also extending tyre lifespan and maximising fuel savings.
Advantages of Goodyear Assurance Triplemax
Goodyear's proprietary HYDROGRIP Technology in the Assurance TripleMax tyre allows drivers to reduce braking distances by more than two metres on wet roads. The technology is a combination of three elements.
The first is an innovative functionalised polymer tread compound with improved molecular bonding that gives the tyre the extra edge to take grip to a whole new level on wet and dry roads.
Also, with a larger surface area contact and optimised pressure distribution on key block elements, rubber contact with the road is increased, giving drivers much more control during braking.
Built to last longer, the Goodyear Assurance TripleMax gives drivers that extra mile with added protection and increased tyre longevity. A two-ply construction with added material in the sidewall area makes the tyre more resilient, offering superior strength and even greater protection.
The Assurance TripleMax is also reinforced with Dupont Kevlar, which is used in military grade equipment. This lightweight material maintains stiffness and strength even under high temperature conditions when the tyre is in motion - giving drivers’ a longer lasting tyre.
More impressively, Goodyear's Fuel Saving Technology in the Assurance TripleMax allows drivers to go further for less and reduce emissions at the same time, saving up to S$530/318L (S$1.67/L) worth of fuel over the life of the tyres.
This fuel saving conversion formula is based on the US Highway Federal Emissions Test (HWFET). The projection was based on tyre mileage of 50,000km, fuel consumption of 11km/L and fuel price of S$2.00/L.
Actual savings may vary based on fuel prices, when tyres are replaced, driving and road conditions as well as proper tyre maintenance.
This is achieved with high molecular bonding in the functionalised polymer tread compound that provides lower running temperatures, thus reducing the tyre's rolling resistance. The lower the rolling resistance of a tyre, the less energy the car needs to push it forward.
In addition, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) neutralised stress ply lines provide reduced internal component stress and internal friction for a cooler running tyre. The large surface contact and evenly distributed pressure under normal driving conditions also reduces the rolling friction of the tyre.

Goodyear Orient Company (Private) Limited (GOCPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, was registered in Singapore in December 1917. Based in Singapore, GOCPL manages the purchasing, delivery, financing and quality of natural rubber for worldwide operations associated with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company along with Sumitomo Rubber Industries (SRI).
47 years later, Goodyear opened a sales office in Singapore to supply tyres to the local market and to support the regional aviation business. Today, Goodyear Singapore Tyres, a division of GOCPL, continues to supply the local passenger market via distributors as well as support the aviation business and perform various export activities within the region.
Goodyear Singapore Tyres has a wide range of authorised distributors and retailers located around Singapore. Their information can be found here.
