Your tyres provide the interface between your car and the road. Not only do they play an extremely important part in performance, but also in overall safety.
Without the right tyres or good quality ones, your car’s ability to maximise traction with the road is compromised, and that can have serious consequences.
Vice versa, a good set of tyres selected is pivotal in providing efficient performance and safety, and will be one of the most important purchases you make for your car.
Dunlop
Dunlop is one of the world's foremost manufacturers of high-performance tyres and its 125-year history traces back to the first pneumatic tyre as well as the dawn of motor racing.
In addition to automotive tyres, Dunlop produces a wide range of tyres for motorcycles, All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs), competition go-karts and commercial trucks.
Dunlop is also the sponsor for numerous racing and high-performance automotive events such as V8 Supercars and Le Mans and is also the official tyre partner of the AMG Driving Academy.
Product Technology - Dunlop Sport Maxx RT
Exceptional grip
The Sport Maxx RT delivers superb wet and dry grip thanks to adaptive compound technology. Motorsports-derived polymers adapt to the textures of the road surface, maximising road contact and increasing grip.
Enhanced cornering control
Enjoy stable high-speed handling with smooth transitions from straight to curve. Massive outer shoulder blocks help to enhance stability and handling when cornering.
Shorter braking at motorway speeds
Dunlop's innovative 'Short Braking' blocks help to ensure shorter braking distances when travelling at speed.
Fuel-efficient design
The Sport Maxx RT employs a lightweight construction to reduce rolling resistance - lowering fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
Product Description - Dunlop Sport Maxx RT
The Sport Maxx RT (Racing Technology) is Dunlop's summer road tyre developed for drivers of sports cars, sporty coupes and high-performance sedans. It replaces its incredibly successful predecessors, the SP Sport Maxx and SP Sport Maxx TT.
Embedded with Dunlop Racing Technology that combines sophisticated tyre materials and manufacturing techniques, the Sport Maxx RT improves road feedback and driving precision.
The Sport Maxx RT features adaptive compound technology that uses motorsports derived polymers to allow its silica-plus tread rubber to adapt to the textures of the road surface, thus maximising road contact and increasing grip.
This compound is moulded into an asymmetric design that features large outboard shoulder blocks tied to a notched intermediate rib that enhances dry road responsiveness and cornering control.
Dunlop's Multi-Radius-Tread technology ensures that footprint pressure is distributed effectively across the tyre and allows the footprint shape to change more smoothly as it moves from a straight to a curve, leading to better control and more precise driving.
In addition, the tyre's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by Dunlop's Jointless Band (JLB) spirally wound cord to provide high-speed durability and enhanced ride uniformity.
The Dunlop Sport Maxx RT is available in a full range of standard sizes and is also the factory fitted tyre for the Audi A3, the Maserati Quattroporte, the Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG, the Renault Clio RS and the Subaru WRX STI.
Dunlop has a wide range of authorised retailers located around Singapore. Their information can be found here.
