Review
Got this awhile back already. Got the option to hardwire or using the ciggerette lighter socket. I got it installed hardwire as I don't like wire dangling around. The device itself is pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it, played around with it for 10 min and shouldn't be a problem for anyone. I got myself a additional add on of the Oil Pressure/Temperature Sensor Adapter. Purppose of installing the MFD II is mainly for this anyway. 1st time on it, it will configure itself according to the ECU connected so not much adjectment need to be done unless you need something different out of it. RPM display is kind of slow but not using this machine for than so not an issue for me. There are downside of this product too. If you intend to make changes to skin, units of display or update of driver, can only use Windows XP. Also maximum reading for its boost without an add on sensor will reach up to 15 PSI only. So add on needed to be able to read up to 30PSI for those who need. Can can live with it as i can create a virtual Windows XP to do it and not really into the boost yet. Will get the add on next time if i need. Overall still happy with it.

What I like
User friendly, easy to use once get hang of it, works well

What I do not like
Need add on for some of the feature to get reading or for more accurate reading and can can't use windows 7 to do the skin change, reading unit adjustment or update driver.

Review
I just installed MDII a couple of weeks ago. I didn't want to have a standard gauges in my car because of the lack of good pod solution and I also don't want a bunch of gauges to scream "race me" all the time, so this turned out to be a great alternative. I am only tapped into the ECU for water temp and one other external sensor under the hood for oil pressure. The unit can display up to 8 different parameters at once for the money. Therefore, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to traditional gauges.

What I like
The unit can display up to 8 different parameters at once.

What I do not like
A little too small than I expected

I installed this meter into my car quite quickly. Install was quite simple even though the manual was fully in Jap, but there's a English manual on Ark Design website. Anyways, there are a lot of display options for this meter and it looks very cool. Even better is how useful it is. There is a lot of readouts and info besides the usual speed & RPM (e.g. oil pressure & temp; boost/vacuum etc). Did I say how cool this looks at night?

What I like
A lot of info displays. Llooks very cool and makes your car cabin look steady. Easy to install

What I do not like
None
