Review
The Holux TrackNavi 62S starts up quickly and is easy to use. The intelligent search function is not only fast, it also reduces many unnecessary steps taken to get me to my destination. The GPS is strong and I have never faced any trouble with it fixing my location, even in Malaysia. Having a large LCD display supposedly allows a clearer view, making it more comfortable for my eyes when I drive but instead, it is difficult to see under direct sunlight. Hence I feel that the contrast of the LCD can be improved on.

What I like
The accuracy and reliability of the GPS

What I do not like
Contrast of the screen

I am on an extended trip through Malaysia with which I have very little experience in. The Holux TrackNavi 62S has proved to be worth many times more than the purchase price. I am a cartographer and very familiar with navigating around using roadmaps. This little GPS unit has deftly led me to and through destinations that would have had great trouble locating and managing with standard maps. The long and short is that I am very thankful to have this unit and would in a heart beat recommend it's purchase to most anyone. I have been really impressed!

What I like
I am now never lost with this device.

What I do not like
Navigating through the interface may be quite difficult

I paid about $269 for this GPS unit and it's very worth it. The locking onto a signal when initially setting up is quite slow, but it gets much faster after that. The routing is very accurate and quick. The intelligent search function is easy to use and locates places very quickly also.

However, I don't really like the screen. It's big 5", but I can't see the screen in direct sunlight. The screen display looks very washed out in any kind of sunlight. However, the touchscreen is quite responsive.

The 5 inch screen is big and clear and I can easily see where i'm supposed to be going. But when it's sunny, the screen looks like it's washed out and the screen contrast is not that good. Also, the touchscreen is not as responsive as I'm used to so sometimes I end up stabbing the thing with my finger in frustration. But I still like this GPS because it can get signals super fast and it's super accurate.

What I like
Gets signal fast, very accurate at pinpointing locations

What I do not like
Touchscreen not very responsive and the screen contrast is too low
