Noticable difference in Handling  Posted on 12 Mar 2018

I installed this on
Mitsubishi Attrage

Review
Lets face it, Mitsubishi Attrage is a cheap car. Value for money, point A to point B. Great for fuel efficiency.

The issue with this is that they make the car so light that it feels like its going to fly whenever I was doing a turn even if I was going under 50kmh.

After some discussions with guys from the Attrage FB group, decided to go into Msia to get both the front strut bar and the anti-roll bars done.

Granted I’m not an experienced driver (my first car) so anything I’m writing is my personal newbie opinion.

Generally speaking, immediately after installation of the bars, the car felt abit stiffer. The most major difference however is the handling. Now whenever I drive in & out of my estate, the 90 degree turn doesn’t make me feel like I’m going to fly.

Same thing as whenever I’m going along Lorong Halus, the handling feels soo much grounded. Like my 70 yr old mother says, “the car feels heavier”

Fuel consumption hasn’t changed much. I was still able to get a reading of 18.6 km/l from the screen. The bars aren’t that heavy but the handling has improved.

I asked my insurance company and as far as I can tell, if its declared to them, they’ll cover the cost of the bars at a premium but other than that they’re fine if I don’t declare.

What I like
Handling tremendously
Affordable
Light and didn’t affect fuel consumption

What I do not like
Nothing much. I read somewhere that heavy use of the car with these bars affects the chasis in the long run. Shouldn’t be an issue since I’m not racing. Just wanna be able to take a corner without feeling like I need a plane ticket.

I installed this on
Toyota Wish

Review
I was not satisfied by the amount of body roll that is inherent in my 2nd-gen Toyota Wish. Simple turns and cornering at moderate speed (I am not a racer; I have ever been summoned for speeding twice in the 20 years I have been driving) feels uncomfortable and unstable.

I paid for a set of Ultra Racing front strut bar + rear anti-roll bar (16mm) from E-rev. The improvement in body roll was immediately noticeable! I can say the magnitude of body roll has been cut by half. Theories and anecdotes throw around online point to the rear-anti roll bar being the major contributor to the improvement.

Caveats:
1.) You must declare these modifications immediately to your insurance company. Mine increased the premium by about 4% In response even though I strongly opined that the additions made the car more safe, not less.
2.) I basically paid a few hundred dollars for essentially what are two solid steel bars. Overpriced? Perhaps - I bit the bullet for an established brand (determined by reading numerous online posts especially in foreign car forums).
3.) The car now transmits more bumps and shocks from bad roads than before. Not severe -maybe about +25% Worser than before. Strangely, I feel highway driving is now more smooth.
4.) DO NOT aggresively corner when the road is wet / gives poor traction (eg. Sandy), or is very irregular. You can read up about this characteristic of anti-roll bars from numerous sources online.

NOTE: For cars that have 'twist-beam' rear suspensions like the Wish, they already have the 'anti-roll bar' feature built-in. The one I bought is simply another bolted-on stiffener with no moving parts to enhance the original's effects. For cars with fully-independent rear suspensions, they will have to get true 'anti-roll bars' which require bushings mounted to the chassis so the bar can rotate to work.

What I like
*No part of the chassis needs to be permanently altered. Uses existing screw holes/points.
*Cuts body roll by (subjectively) 50%. Feels stable cornering now.
*No moving parts.
*Fast speedy installation over lunchtime

What I do not like
*Pricey for 2 pcs of metal bars.
*Increases road harshness feeling slightly.

To say a brand from our neighbor the quality and design is really comprehensive
Not only the quality the price is also very reasonable
I believe the brand now is pretty well known
The handling also had improved
The more bars installed the more of the under steering and over steering are eliminated
Really good handling

What I like
Real good handling

What I do not like
Still no any bad comments

Review
Recently just back from KL, I felt that my ride had difficulties approaching bends on NSHW at slightly high speeds.

I spoken to my friend about this and he recommended me to get the Ultra Racing Strut Bar to enhance the stability of my car. I did a research and this will also be an add-on safely tools for my love ones.

Without 2nd thought, I went ahead to install Ultra Racing Strut Bar. After installation strut bar on the front, I felt more stability when approaching bends at highway & NSHW.

I begins to do more research on other handling bars such as Front lower arm bar & Anti roll bar. Probably, I will install the Front lower arm bar & Anti roll bar in near future.

Overall, the Ultra Racing Strut Bar really enhanced the overall quality of my ride and improvement on the road handling...:)

What I like
Better road handling & cornering

What I do not like
Need to get use to it on the stiff ride

Chevrolet Cruze

Review
I was impressed with the accuracy of the design as it was perfectly fit my Chevy. There's no lift at acceleration and the cornering has greatly improved. It is a stiffer ride and a must to slow down over bumps. I kind of find minor inconvenience as to great slow down in parking lots or place that has bumps. However, I really has real joy to drive. Really impressed and pleased with the corning and handling.

What I like
Love with the corning and handling.

What I do not like
Stiffer ride.

After installation strut bar on the front, I begins to like these bunch of additional handling bars. After much consideration and research, I go ahead with installation of the anti roll bar. Felt the enhance stability when cornering. My ride doesn't seems to give me the veer off feeling when approach bends at expressway.

What I like
Able to take on expressways' bends at slight higher speed.

What I do not like
The price.

I was facing some difficulties cornering at high speeds on the track the other day, and figured out it was the roll during cornering and need to get this fixed as soon as possible. My friend then recommended me to get this Ultra Racing Anti-Roll Bar / Sway Bar, so I went ahead and add this on to my car. It took me quite sometime to get used to the different style of cornering, but when I hit the track again, I felt a major difference in cornering, much more stable and I had utmost handling!

What I like
The extra control and efficiency when cornering

What I do not like
Requires sometime to get used to the different style in cornering.

I got it installed 4 weeks ago. The road handling, conering and even on a straight road speed the only one word I could ever think of was SUPERB! The bar really enhanced the overall quality of my ride and handling improves so much!

What I like
The cars feel rigid and compased even on a high speed.

What I do not like
For the first week, car feels stiff. Need sometimes to get use to it.
