Solid engine oil from Motul. Never expect that lubricant could yield a noticeable difference to the car performance. The engine sounds less rough and the pick up is smooth. Recommended for those who want to improve engine performance. Jasper, Owner of Volvo XC40 SKH81--U

Probably one of the best quality engine oil you can get for your car. Able to feel a difference when switching to 300V. The engine is more responsive and smoother pick up. There is also better fuel consumption as compared to other performance grade engine oil that I have used. Strongly recommended - Joe, Owner of Toyota Camry SJA62--C

Been only trying those normal engine oil and was thinking hard about whether to try a performance one. Decided to go ahead with it and found out one of the workshops near my workplace have a promo package for Motul oil as my servicing is due soon. No regret at all.

Accelerating is faster and engine sound is way better. Really no regret at all.

What I like
Better acceleration
Smooth engine sound

Able to feel a difference when using 300V. The engine is more responsive with smoother pick up. Engine sound seems to have an improvement. Good EO to drive with despite the premium price tag. - Marcus, Owner of Lexus IS300 SKG97--C

I've always used Mobil1 Enhance Gold for my car. As you guys know, this particular brand and model is expensive but this time there's a workshop offered a very competitive pricing for the Motul 300V Power 5W40 with free Oil filter and includes workmanship. The offer is cheap and I can't resist. It's the only one workshop that offered it. If you google or search on FB you will find it.
So I decided to have a go on this EO. I was surprised by its performance. It makes my engine run so much smoother than the best Mobil 1 Gold available. I'm hook!, so this will be my staple EO for my next servicing.

What I like
Superb.

I have been a "Competitor Brand" oil supporter for decades and recently participate in the MCF Motul giveaway.

At the time of writing this review, the oil has clocked 7000 km with minimum idle time. There is no feel of sluggishness or excessive valve-train noise. The engine performance, including oil temperature and pressure has been consistent and stable throughout entire 2.5 months.

The Type R engine definitely feels more responsive then competitor oils and acceleration feels beefy and a particular flat spot of this high compression NA engine have reduced significantly. It pulls extremely well from 2500-9800rpm red line.

I observed there is a slight improvement in fuel economy about 0.8km per litre of petrol after 300-500km set in period. I am not surprised as this is EsterCore technology.

The Motul 300V Power 5W40 oil properties is excellent and able to resist fuel dilution effectively, some competitor brands may need some top up after 5000km or a track day, however there is no replenishment made so far. The Integra R PGM-FI is remapped slightly for competition use.

Went 1 Sepang Track day with Motul 300V Power 5W40 - Oil Temperature is stable 110-115degC after several hot laps and did not exhibit any thinning out at high temp. Oil temperature handling characteristic is good, fast cool down too.

This oil is capable and display good handling a wide range of temperature and engine rpm. Competitor oil I have used have some difficulty dealing with excessive heat. There is no vaporization after track day, engine oil level remains same of day 1.

As this 300V oil is not designed for long oil drain interval (unlike the 8100), I recommend oil to be replaced no longer than 8000 km.

What I like
1 Oil qualify the title of "Racing Oil"
2 Stable and good detergent effect & engine cleaniness
3 Smooth revving, sharp throttle response
4 Cold startup, fast warm up
5 Good FC
6 Excellent Oil cushioning effect and shock loading

What I do not like
1. Price could be more competitve for car clubs, enthusiats
2. Consider alternative packaging to include 5L pack

I have been using Mobil 1 for ages, but I will convert myself to become a motul customer from now on. Noticed an increase in power and smoothness. I manage to get more power from my 2L engine and manage to save on fuel at the same time. I will highly recommend this engine oil to everyone out here. No gimmicks for this engine oil.

What I like
Instant increase in power and smoothness right after engine oil change.

What I do not like
This is expensive, however if it can protect and give me this feeling for long, I don't mind to pay for this.

Never use this oil before, as the price is quite on the higher side. So thank you to mycarforum, and I get the chance to test it out. Overall it is really "you get what you pay for" !!!

What I like
Smooth acceleration. Engine feel light and willing to rev. Consumption is average. Did not really notice much as my car is already a big drinker. But overall, a very very good engine oil.

What I do not like
Price.
And the packaging- it comes in 2 litres per bottle, which can be an issue for some that are using 5 litres. We will have 1 litres extra and to keep till next oil change is not something everyone can accept.

Have always read about the effectiveness of Motul engine oil, but did not try it due to the price factor. Quite high cost to just test the response of the engine oil.

Participate in the MCF giveaway and was happy to be given a chance to participate. Fast hand fast leg, went to pick up the engine oil and proceed to arrange for servicing.

Immediate response was my engine seems to be smoother and more responsive. Acceleration is less sluggish as my car is about 8 years old. Less noise on the engine. For fuel consumption wise, no savings spotted. On other hand, it seems less mileage clocked. But insignificant difference of about 5%-7% Less for the 1st tank.

Strongly recommend this Motul 300v 5w40 engine oil to owners who want to have more responsive and quiet engine.

What I like
Smoother engine
Better response
More power felt
Less engine noise

What I do not like
Very little workshops carry Motul engine oils.
Have asked the in charge of my regular workshop. And he replied me due to the high price, not many car owners wanna try.

Immediately after the oil change felt smoother & quieter engine response driving off from the workshop (my previous oil change was less than 7,000km ago).

Moving off from stops is quicker thus don't have to hit the pedal hard.

Highway cruising felt lesser resistance & less noise at 100km/hr.

Managed to clock another 120+km before fuel indicator dropped another bar, which has not happened since the past 3-4yrs.

What I like
1. Smooth & quiet engine response
2. Improved fuel consumption

What I do not like
1. Pricing can be more competitive

Heard alot about this brand previously but didnt try it due to the price.
Got the sponsored chance to sample the 5w-40 version on my turbocharged ride , and did not pass up the chance.
I usually use 5w-50 oils due to the harsh conditions driving in Singapore.
Feel that the engine is more willing to rev, but this could be due to it being thinner oil. No difference noted in fuel economy.
My mechanic did mention that it might be too thin an oil for long term usage on my car but i can't find a cheap UOA test to verify the difference/s.

What I like
Engine more willing to Rev.
Probably useful in race applications.

What I do not like
Quite pricey comparatively speaking.

I was selected to join the Motul Submit-A-Review giveaway and was fortunate to be being appointed to use Motul 300V Power Racing 5W40.
I've always wanted to try Motul in the past but the price and availability held me back. I've used many synthetics like Amsoil, Redline, LiquiMoly, KIC, Agip, Castrol, etc. And finally settled on my regular oil, which is Mobil 1 0W40 based on price, performance and availability.
It doesn't feel any smoother during start up, idling or normal driving but when you nail the throttle, the engine seems to produce more torque and eagerly pulls from mid range to redline. It frees up the hidden hp in your car.
I will need more time to evaluate the oil for long term use but for now, what I can say is: "This oil is highly recommended for the car enthusiast with a performance car who loves to drive fast or track and demand the best in an engine oil."

What I like
Engine more eager in the upper rev range
More torque
Double Ester formula
Price reduced & more easily available nowadays

What I do not like
Price
