Brembo stops top contenders at Daytona 24 Hours

Brembo brake components were on 42 of 47 cars - 89% of the field - for the 57^th running of the Rolex 24 Hour At Daytona that concluded last weekend at Daytona International Speedway.

In 2018, Brembo-shod competitors in IMSA's WeatherTech Championship won all four classes at the around the clock classic held at the World Centre of Racing. Once again, the championship-winning Cadillac DPi-V.R prototypes, two Acuras and one Nissan and the entire LMP2 field were on the grid with Brembo brake calipers. In GTLM, the defending race-winning Ford GT cars ran Brembos, as well as 23 GTD class cars, including last year's winning Lamborghini Huracan.

Daytona is considered to be one of the most demanding races of the season as far as brakes are concerned. The main braking zones are into the Bus Stop Chicane on the back stretch and the almost 320km/h to 130km/h brake zone into Turn One to enter the infield.
