Genesis has unveiled a new the X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept at the Gran Turismo World Series World Finals held in Barcelona, Spain.
The concept is described as the most emotional expression of the Genesis brand's characteristic Athletic Elegance design philosophy, demonstrating the brand's passion for the Vision Gran Turismo series.
Up front, the concept car sports the brand's Crest Grille and Quad Light design elements that we have seen from its road-going cars. Aft of this however, the car veers into the world of conceptual.
Defined by muscular volumes, the body of the X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept adopts a cab backwards design. The layout moves the driver and powertrain rearward for a lean front mid-engine layout.
At the rear, the car sports a rear spoiler that completes the car's elliptical shape, while lateral trailing edges also feature to give the car added high-speed stability.
Genesis has opted to finish the concept in a Magma colour, which is said to have been inspired by the brand's Distinctly Korean ethos, while referencing Korea’s volcanoes and the emotion, passion and vibrancy of the nation's culture.
The Genesis X Gran Berlinetta VGT Concept is theoretically powered by an electrically assisted V6 engine which delivers in excess of 1,000bhp.
Gran Turismo 7 players who watch the Manufacturer's Cup broadcast in GT7 will receive early access to the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta VGT Concept as a gift in January 2024.
