BRM has announced that the MK1 P15 V16 Chassis IV will race in the Goodwood Trophy during the 2022 Goodwood Revival. The announcement is the start of the Owen family's key objective of re-awakening the BRM legacy of racing once again.
John Owen, Director of BRM, stated that a continuation series of three final MK1 P15s will be built to share the BRM experience with more people. He believes that the cars represent an important part of motor racing in Britain and British engineering history as a whole.
The MK1 P15 V16 was last raced in the Goodwood Trophy in 1952 where it achieved the famous first, seconds, and third positions for BRM. John Owen remarked that the Chassis IV V16 has not had any modifications done to it that affects performance, therefore respecting the spirit and values of Goodwood when it does go racing.
The V16 will also be joined by a collection of other iconic BRM cars over the Goodwood Revival weekend as part of their celebrations.
