The problem lies in the brake fluid.
The fluid used by Toyota, and Honda contains polymers, which are essential to lubricating the internal components of the brake system.
Aftermarket brake fluid doesn't contain enough of the lubricating polymers. So, topping off the brake fluid with anything other than Honda, or Toyota brake fluid can cause an inner rubber seal to dry out, causing a brake fluid leak, and reduced braking ability.
The effected Honda's include; the 2005-2007 Acura RL (Honda Legend), and the 2005-2007 Honda Odyssey minivan.
Honda plans to notify owners in the coming weeks. After which, they'll be able to take their Honda's back to the dealer for a free fix.
