Mandatory theory test a long time coming for e-bike riders
30 Apr 2021|5,422 views
Electric scooter and electric bicycle riders will soon need to pass a mandatory theory test online if they wish to continue riding their devices. The announcement was made by the Land Transport Authority on their Facebook page on 30 April 2021.
Thankfully, the announcement also contained links to two handy booklets which can be downloaded here and here (for e-scooter riders and electric bicycle riders respectively), containing all the dos and don'ts that you'll need in order to stay safe, and presumably ace the online test.
The two online booklets contain information on active mobility devices, pre-journey and equipment checks, as well as the rules and code of conducts for using the devices, and will be made available in other languages shortly.
There's no need to worry too much though: The test will be administered in a multiple-choice format.
