Porsche has announced a new version to its popular models - the 2014 Cayenne Turbo S and the new Cayman - at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The high performance Cayenne Turbo S SUV borrows the V8 4.8-litre engine from its Cayenne Turbo sibling albeit with an increased turbocharger pressure, remapped electronics and more free flowing inlet manifold.
With that, the unit now offers 50bhp more than the Cayenne Turbo. Performance figures are impressive, with the 0-100km/h sprint coming under 4.3 seconds with a top speed in excess of 281km/h.
As for the 2014 Cayman, it will get a flat six 2.7-litre engine producing 275bhp, which enables the coupe to perform a 100km dash in 5.4 seconds with a top speed of 266km/h. The hotter Cayman S will come with a flat six 3.4-litre with 325bhp, which enables it to do the same 100km dash in just under 4.7 seconds with a top speed of 283km/h.
