Renault grows ambitions with the new Kadjar

After the successful launch of the Captur, Renault is demonstrating its growing ambitions on the crossover market with the launch of the Kadjar. The bigger brother of the Captur is set to boost the marque's presence in the segment, with plans to go on sale in Europe, as well as a number of African and Mediterranean Basin countries, followed by China.
With the Kadjar, Renault aims to shake up conventional thinking by presenting an innovative and attractive proposition to the crossover market. This is achieved by a fluid, athletic exterior styling, matched with an interior that is both sporty and refined.
Thanks to its compact footprint (4,450mm long x 1,84omm wide), the Renault Kadjar promises adventure, while at the same time delivering easy manoeuvrability in town.
The Renault Kadjar will also benefit from a range of particularly efficient engines which position it at the forefront of the segment in terms of low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
Interestingly, the Kadjar will also be Renault's first vehicle to be built in China. The marque has signed an agreement with Chinese automaker Dongfeng, giving birth to the Dongfeng Renault Automotive Company (DRAC) and the construction of a factory in Wuhan. Works on the factory has already started in January 2014, and vehicle manufacturing is expected to start by early 2016.
The Renault Kadjar will make its public debut at the 85th Geneva Motor Show, which will be open for public on 5th March 2015.
