SMRT's new double-decker buses to start operating from 13th July

Transport operator SMRT has taken delivery of the first three double-decker buses - out of a total of 201 - and will put them on service from 13th July.
Starting next Sunday, these three buses will ply the route of service 972. More double-decker buses will be introduced in the following months, with nine other heavily used routes, namely 106, 188, 190, 850E, 951E, 960, 963, 966 and 969, benefitting from the new buses.
Bukit Panjang Adviser Dr. Teo Ho Pin and about 80 Bukit Panjang Grassroots Leaders had the chance to get up close and personal with the new buses at a preview event ahead of their launch.
